So, Just to keep everyone on track here.
R2 Online is an old game. Released in 2008 I believe. And as far as I know, untill this month, official Russian server hosted by Innova was THE LAST legit way to play the game outside of Korea/China. Now, the only official server is closed. If I connected the dots correctly, the OP is an insider from INNOVA that leaked server files before R2 began its closing process.
There are many private servers run by third parties that have their own communities, and I believe they are not going anywhere. There are living, evolving communities that keep the game running very smoothly.
As with any MMORPG, there is a cult following of this game. This game is quite unique in many regards, and thats why people keep flocking to it. And with the main servers closing down, its only natural for emerge of demand to create your own server. This leak is a big deal for many people, casual and not so much. Hardcore fans played for ages and only now they get the opportunity to touch the client and server side themselves.
I am very appreciative of this leak. This game is important for me and my brother, and this is the opportunity for me and my brother to play our favorite game at any time, whatever our circumstances in life are. And I believe this stands true for many new members of this forum in this thread - they created their accounts with sole purpose of recreating the server in their homes.
As many of you have noticed, the server installment proccess is an absolute hell for anyone, and for unprepared user is completely impossible. People stop understanding what to do at the first step of the guide provided - the database reinstallment proccess from .bak files. When it gets to HEX editing - 99% of people who want to have a server just gets lost and does not understand what to do.
I propose to anyone who wants to set up their own server to join my discord server and discuss anything related to setting up, running and modding of this leaked version of R2 server files. The invite link is:
