BEFORE I EDITED THE outgui_character.dds with photoshop

AFTER I EDITED IT HERE COMES UP

I just brushed a bit on the letter "N" and automatically the transparency of the logo disappeared

use it using adobe photoshop DDS plugins and save that same format the background is transparent

then how will the game read it? game.exe read it as .dds format,so why png?

I've been seeing a few DDS textures at the textures folder and the application I'm using tells me that the DDS files I'm opening is supposed to be PNG. Sooo in theory, the DDS files most private server owners use are just PNG files? I dunno, just sayin'.

if u want to make it work again..
create it your own => outgui_character.dds
delete or rename the old one..

by the way, as what ive read. he manage to open it using photoshop and of course we all know the the dds file cant be open in photoshop unless you have that plugins needed .. that why he edited it..

i am able to edit dds on photoshop because of the plugin
but after i had done anything, the transparency of the logo disappears, there are different save type off dds on photoshop it can be dxt1,dxt2,dxt3 and so on etc...

you must edit that with a blank alpha background -_- ive already try that to edit! but i fail ..

what do you mean blank alpha bg? it means it can be white or black aye?

found a way
converted the .dds file into .png using this

then opened the png and edit.
saved it as .dds (DXT5 Interpolated Alpha)

my first post for longest time,
edit the texture file
make background transparent
save as .png

2 ways to make game reads it

1. hex the game.exe and look for the dds ,file then save
2. rename or change the .dds extension to .png

and it will work

save it w/ aplha channels.. correct me
