Hi everyone,

First and foremost, I want to apologize for the downtime. Our main hard drives failed, including our RAID controller, which never notified us of the impending failure. Due to this, we had to rebuild the entire system setup for our website and services. There was also a slight dilemma with one of our offsite backups not working as it should, but we managed to resolve that thanks to the magic of Gremlins and Samurai hard drives.

We have installed four new drives running in RAID 10 to further protect us from future failures. Our sponsor, HyperFilter, also upgraded our processor, giving us a 40% increase in processing power that we hope to put to good use. We would have been online sooner if it had not been for DHL missing three deliveries to the data center. I am now in the process of ensuring all functions are working. You may find some things not operating as intended, but currently, everything is running smoothly with minimal configuration and optimization.

Thanks again, everyone, and welcome back.

Webp image support has been enabled. I'm using a third party plugin for this. Currently, we are using Xenforo version 2.2 but 2.3 supports it natively and hopefully there will be no issues in terms of it loading thereafter.

[EDIT 01/09/2024: Plugin removed as WEBP support is now native to the new version of Xenforo]

The Legend of Mir 2 and The Legend of Mir 3 sections have been merged and offer support for the original and MIR4 using prefix tags.

We have successfully migrated our test build to the latest Xenforo version. All issues have been found and are being resolved. We are now waiting upon our friends at www.dohtheme.com to fix some styling issues and we can anticipate migration within the next few days.

I've also updated php to 8.3 as well as our back end caching systems (Redis) to the latest versions to help aid further performance improvements. There is a lot more updates but that is all I can recount and I am tired. Any bugs, report them.

Cheers,
MentaL.

Member avatar sizes have been increased from 96px to 128px. Any blurring, upload a new one. I've also tweaked the dark style hyperlink hover colour on posts to make if easier to navigate.

Behind the engine, I've switched to a different hide BB code system. I'm only enabling one hide tag at the moment. Any bugs, report.
