CrossFire CN 3.0 Emulator Setup Guide
Requirements
- SQL Server 2019 (recommended)
- SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
- Navicat (for account creation and database management)
- CrossFire CN 3.0 Server Files
- CrossFire CN 3.0 Client Files
Step 1 - Install SQL Server
Install SQL Server 2019, as it is the most compatible version for this emulator.
After installation:
- Open SQL Server Configuration Manager.
- Enable TCP/IP and ensure port 1433 is open.
- Restart the SQL Server service.
Step 2 - Configure SQL Authentication
- Open SQL Server Management Studio.
- Connect to your SQL instance (usually your computer name).
- Right-click the server and select Properties.
- Go to Security.
- Under Server Authentication, select:
SQL Server and Windows Authentication Mode- Click Apply and restart SQL Server.
Step 3 - Restore Databases
Restore the following databases:
Important:
- CN_BILL
- CN_CLAN
- CN_GAME
- CN_LOG
- CN_WEB
Replace the original CN_GAME database with the fixed version included in this release.
The original version has login issues and will prevent players from connecting.
Step 4 - Create SQL User
For each CrossFire database:
Repeat this process for all CrossFire databases.
- Expand Databases.
- Open the database.
- Go to:
Security → Users- Delete the existing user named:
CF
After that:
Click OK.
- Create a new SQL Login.
- Example:
Login: CF
Password: 1234- Disable password encryption/enforcement if necessary.
- Go to Server Roles and enable:
SYSADMIN- Open User Mapping.
- Select all CrossFire databases.
- Set each database role to:
db_owner
Step 5 - Server Files Location
The server must be located at:
C:\pmang\crossfire
Step 6 - Configure Server Files
Edit every configuration file that contains an IP address.
Important files include:
Replace all existing IP addresses with your server IP.
- serverinfo.ini
- settings.ini
Step 7 - Configure Database Gateway
Edit:
Replace:
- DBGWMGR.ini
- gDBGW.ini
with your own configuration.
- SQL Server IP
- Database username
- Database password
After editing:
Copy both files into:
C:\Windows
Step 8 - Install Services
Create a file named:
install.bat
Paste the following script and run it as Administrator.
(Install script provided in release package.)
This will create all required CrossFire services.
After installation, verify that the following services exist:
- cf_gamesrv
- cf_loginsrv
- cf_buddyrelay
- cf_clansvr
- cf_globalroomsrv
- cf_billsrv
- GameMgmtServer
- gDBGW
Step 9 - Configure Database IPs
Open database:
CF_CN_GAME
Edit table:
min_cu
Replace the IP with your server IP.
Then edit:
regionlist
Replace the IP there as well.
Step 10 - Create an Account
Using Navicat:
Fill:
- Open database:
CF_CN_GAME- Open:
Functions- Execute:
PROC_WEB_USER_INFO_INS
Set:
- User
- UserPass
- WebPass
p_Result = 0
Execute the procedure.
Step 11 - Get Account Information
Open table:
CF_MEMBER
Copy:
Example:
- USN
- Username
- Password
USN: 80983
Username: 12345
Password: 12345
Step 12 - Create Client Start BAT
Inside the client folder create:
start.bat
Example:
.\x64\crossfire /version:To view the content, you need to sign in or register-q:80983:12345:12345 -i:qa_tester01 -r:77120544891
Explanation:
-q:USN:USERNAME : PASSWORD
Replace the values with your own account information.
Step 13 - Configure version.ini
Edit all IP addresses inside:
version.ini
Example sections:
[SERVER]
IP1=YOUR_IP
[HGW]
SERVER1=YOUR_IP
[AREA]
SSN=YOUR_IP:13006
Replace every occurrence with your server IP.
Step 14 - Create Startup Script
Create:
start_server.bat
Example:
Run the script after all services are installed.
- Start gDBGW
- Start Login Server
- Start Game Server
- Start Bill Server
- Start Global Room Server
- Start Buddy Relay
- Start GameMgmtServer
Step 15 - Configure Host Server
Go to:
hostsrv\x64
Run:
ServiceConfig.exe
Create and install the Host Server service.
Without this step, rooms may not function correctly.
Step 16 - Enter the Game
At this point the server should be fully operational.
Launch the client using your start.bat file and log in.
Adding Cash (RP)
Open table:
CF_USER
Set the RP value you want.
Example:
100000
After that:
Open database:
CF_CN_WEB
Go to:
Functions
Execute:
WSP_GIVE_CURRENCY
Parameters:
USN = Your account USN
TYPE = C
AMOUNT = Same RP value added previously
RESULT = 0
Execute the procedure.
Important:
Avoid using extremely high values such as:
9999999999
Doing so may cause database or client issues.
Known Issues
- Clan System is not working.
- Black Market requires additional database configuration.
- Some items still require synchronization.
- The game may occasionally freeze.
- Other minor bugs may exist.
