nah, it would be better if we find the chinese patch server with all the client updates so we could get the the bin files from the same date than the server files and we just would need to download an old aeria client, replace the bin folder and rename few files from data folder

funny thing is that we only found 3 working clients for the 2005 server files, and now that we get newer server files i find the patch server for the 2005 client lol

but it has security on it, changing IP can be a struggle.

ok, heres somthing i noticed. I've been testing with 5 different clients, they are really old they are early ep1, and all of them showed ep 2 skills at the skill master. Maybe database has ep 2 skills in it?

did you find another working client(s)?

databases are newer than the server files (probably from the same date than the chinese client) but i think that the skills displayed at the skill master are client side

skills are clientside, skills on db only up to lvl70 and skill lvl5

You guys are trying to fix something that's not worth fixing, the client for these files is gone (i've searched 10+ hours you wont find it). And there isn't much you can do with them without it. You might as well lock this topic and move onto something else (maybe Wiz's source?). I'm just merely saving you time and effort when you could be working on something else that does work.

yes sure but ther are serverfiles much newer as the 2005er files, so much its working fine (serverside) i think its rly pity :/

i rly hope some one find an propper client :(

@ wizas source , i look on it today, rly nice but i don´t understand enougth rightnow to rly help on this project
i no times wrote code in c# and i only change a few thinks right now

an echo "Player <username> Join the game" in logon and change the "welcome to wizateks EP2 Emulator" to Welcome <username> to wiz......."

and add 2 GM commands go_user and get_user (port me to user or user to me)

And on the gameserver i see the ingamechat "[CHAT] ILAN12346: Example chat msg"

Falo has fixed the Merchant bug in the 2005 client. The Problem is that the Engine.dll is sending wrong Packets...
But atm he is not aviable, nobody knows when he is back, maybe tomorow

from the looks of it, serverfiles can load a lot of data, so which means we can add a lot of things in the database, im looking into adding new skills. So far i can learn skills up to lvl 6

as Wizatek already said, its because the client receives the packet with less data than expected

it should be easy to fix but a waste of time since the client has a lot more bugs

it seems that the rumors were truth, items +14 doesnt break with hs

and it should be easy to add new upgrade stones in the gameserver and even variations of the runes of protection for increasing the upgrade rate or for anything else

i looked on google and i can find no way of convering .exp back into source code or vewing the source of a .exe but i got 1 questgon has any 1 got the source code to the gameserver if so can you uplaod it plz
Try this

All Ep1 clients are compatible with the server(starting from 2007 client till Ep2, Ep2 are not compatible), the only problem is the client Encryption Key which is not compatible with the server(either we insert the key into the client or we extract a key from the client).
