DigiAtlas NXT MMO
Full Source:
DigiAtlas NXT is a native Digimon RPG where real-world streets become your
overworld and PC terminals connect you to a digital network. Pick a partner,
walk around your chosen location, clear hostile signals, build scan data and
create a team through branching Digivolution.
This release brings together AtlasMon's native client/server foundation and
the DigimonNXT Cyber Command project's Digimon artwork and progression data.
The Pokemon creatures, capture-ball gameplay and cartridge soundtrack have
been replaced with Digimon systems, scan conversion and original cyber audio.
The package includes the game source, dedicated server, exported Windows
client, assets, setup scripts and guides. This is a playable community alpha
inspired by Cyber Sleuth-style progression. The exact features and current
limits are listed below.
- Native Windows x64 game client, built with Godot 4.5.2.
- Dedicated Python server with persistent accounts and saved progress.
- MySQL support, including an existing XAMPP MySQL installation.
- Explicit SQLite mode for local development and testing.
- Real-world map exploration with keyboard and on-screen movement.
- Eleven cyberspace sectors reached through PC access terminals.
- 1,000 catalog forms: 500 normal forms and 500 Paradox variants.
- Matching character artwork for every catalog form.
- Eight starter choices and two selectable tamer designs.
- Six-partner parties, with up to three active allies in battle.
- Up to three enemies in a battle, plus sixteen AI arena teams.
- 768 skill records and 32 combat-effect kinds handled by the engine.
- 1,902 forward evolution route records, with reverse routes generated from them.
- Scan conversion, Digivolution, de-digivolution, DNA routes and mode changes.
- ABI, CAM, inherited skills, stat training and a timed DigiFarm.
- Twelve cases with objectives and claimable Bits rewards.
- Six original music loops and 48 sound effects.
- Full source and an exported Windows EXE + PCK included.
The roster total includes variants. Paradox forms and NXT-specific branches
are additions from the supplied fan project.
START YOUR TAMER JOURNEY
Create an account, choose Tai or Matt, pick your starting location and select
one of these first partners:
Agumon, Gabumon, Terriermon, Palmon, Hagurumon, Guilmon, Veemon or Renamon.
Your starting team also includes Koromon and Tsunomon, so you can use a
three-partner formation immediately. All three start at level 5, with 2,000
Bits, five small HP capsules and three small SP capsules to get you going.
Each partner has its own saved identity, level, stats, skills, ABI, CAM and
training progress.
Your home location has recovery, supplies and PC access within reach. Account
position is saved, so reconnecting resumes your journey on that server.
REAL STREETS AND A DIGITAL WORLD
Choose your starting coordinates and explore using WASD, arrow keys or the
on-screen direction buttons. Hold Shift to run. Movement is virtual: you do
not need to travel physically, carry a phone or use GPS.
The world displays nearby Digimon signals, other authenticated players and
useful terminals. Signals become easier to identify as you approach them.
The Nearby app also lists local encounters and facilities.
Walk within interaction range to start a signal battle, recover your team or
buy supplies. Game facilities are generated for gameplay; they are not verified
real businesses or physical landmarks.
At a PC access terminal, open Network and jack into an unlocked sector. The
cyber layer uses the supplied DigimonNXT map artwork and separate encounter
pools while keeping your virtual geographic position. You can return to the
real-world layer outside battle.
The eleven sectors unlock as your Tamer Rank grows:
Rank 1: Plaza Terminal and Cyber Route
Rank 2: Dataflow and Overclock
Rank 3: Icewall and Geargrid
Rank 4: Encrypt Field and Node Link
Rank 5: Firewall and Mainframe
Rank 6: The Core
Wins and claimed cases increase your rank. Other players are visible when they
are nearby in the same world layer and, in cyberspace, the same sector.
Cyberspace movement remains free. The artwork's walls and water do not enforce
the original PHP game's tile collision or portal-navigation rules.
BUILD A TEAM THROUGH SCAN DATA
Wild victories award species-specific scan data. Discovering a signal and
collecting enough data to create a partner are separate steps.
- At 100% scan or more, convert that species in the DigiLab.
- Conversion creates a fully recovered level-one partner.
- Scan data caps at 200%.
- Waiting until 200% gives the new partner 5 starting ABI.
- Conversion consumes that species' entire stored scan pool.
- A full party sends the new partner to the DigiBank.
- Normal and Paradox versions have independent discovery and scan records.
Lower-stage forms generally build scan data faster. Higher-stage forms take
more victories. The scan database lets you search the full roster by name,
stage, attribute or element, and filter for partners ready to convert.
Paradox signals are rare: the default chance is 0.2% per generated signal,
approximately one in 500 signals. Their scan gain is only 1-3% per defeated
form, making them longer-term collection goals. This is a probability, not a
guaranteed encounter after a fixed number of battles.
Arena matches award their battle rewards but do not give wild scan data.
TACTICAL TEAM BATTLES
Take up to six partners with you. Up to three conscious allies fight at once,
with the remaining partners available as reserves. Encounters can contain up
to three enemies, and arena rivals bring their own teams.
The active partner is highlighted and the turn-order strip previews upcoming
actions. Speed affects initiative, so your lineup matters.
Available commands include:
- Attack: a basic attack with no SP cost.
- Skills: spend the acting Digimon's SP to use its equipped abilities.
- Guard: protect the acting partner until its next turn.
- Switch: replace the acting partner with an available reserve.
- Items: use recovery supplies on a valid target.
- Escape: attempt to leave a wild encounter. Arena escape is disabled.
Select an enemy before attacking. Healing and support skills guide you toward
eligible allied targets, while revival skills need defeated partners.
Combat includes physical and magic damage, piercing and fixed effects,
status conditions, buffs, debuffs, healing, revival, multi-hit moves and
single-target or team-wide skills where defined in the move data.
The main attribute matchup is:
Vaccine beats Virus.
Virus beats Data.
Data beats Vaccine.
Free is neutral in that triangle.
Elemental matchups also affect combat. Each Digimon uses SP for skills, with
no move-by-move PP system.
After a win, every conscious party member receives the full encounter EXP,
including reserves. EXP is not divided between them. Each defeated enemy adds
1 CAM to conscious partners, up to 3 per victory. Defeated partners receive
neither EXP nor CAM.
The server validates battle actions, targets, resources and rewards. Active
battles persist, allowing you to reconnect and continue.
DIGIVOLUTION, DNA AND LONG-TERM PARTNER BUILDING
The DigiLab is where your team grows into something new. Select a partner to
see its available routes and the requirements for each one. Blocked routes
explain which requirements are missing.
Supported progression includes:
- Branching Digivolution into different forms.
- De-digivolution into previously discovered eligible forms.
- DNA routes that require a specific second partner.
- Free mode changes on the supplied eligible routes.
- Level, ABI, CAM, stat and discovery requirements.
- Inherited skills carried across form changes.
Regular evolution and de-digivolution reset the partner to level one and apply
the appropriate ABI gain. Mode changes preserve level, EXP and ABI, and keep
HP/SP proportionate so changing modes does not become free healing.
DNA evolution consumes the selected second partner. The confirmation screen
lets you review the target and choose an eligible partner before committing.
Inheritable skills from the consumed partner can contribute to the result.
Partner limits are level 99, ABI 200 and CAM 100.
ABI represents a partner's development potential and expands its stat-training
budget. CAM is your partner's bond and is required by some evolution routes.
The DigiLab shows both clearly alongside HP, SP and the current form.
Some reference-game story, egg and spirit conditions use target discovery as
the unlock condition in this project. There is no commercial story campaign
behind those conditions in this alpha.
INHERITED SKILLS, TRAINING AND YOUR DIGIBANK
Choose a partner's equipped skills from its available learned abilities.
Inherited skills remain available through form changes; signature skills
belong to the current form. Your selected loadout persists through ordinary
battle and farm EXP gains.
Stat training lets you shape HP, SP, ATK, DEF, INT and SPD:
- Training capacity is 50 + half the partner's ABI, rounded down.
- Add or remove 1 or 5 points at a time.
- Added points cost 50 Bits each.
- Removing points is free and does not refund Bits.
- One HP training point adds 10 HP.
- Personality can be changed, but is descriptive in this release.
Manage party order, move partners between the field team and DigiBank, and
inspect their individual progress. The field party holds six partners and
the DigiBank holds up to 1,000. You must retain at least one field partner.
DIGIFARM
The DigiFarm gives unused partners a way to keep developing.
Deposit up to three conscious partners while keeping at least one partner in
your field team. Each resident earns 40 EXP and 1 CAM per elapsed minute, with
an eight-hour cap per collection.
Collect training progress from the farm, or withdraw a resident to collect its
accrued progress automatically. Farm residents cannot also occupy a party slot
or enter battle. Withdraw them before editing their form or loadout.
This is a simplified timed farm system. Farm goods, island development and
the commercial game's complete leader/personality simulation are not included.
CASES, TAMER RANK AND THE ARENA
Twelve cases provide goals alongside collecting and training. Objectives cover
walking, winning battles, entering cyberspace, converting partners, evolving,
training, collecting farm progress and defeating arena rivals.
Case rewards are claimed from the Case board and each case pays once.
Every ten battle wins adds a rank, and every two claimed cases adds another,
starting from Rank 1. Higher ranks open later network sectors and stronger
arena opponents.
The arena includes sixteen AI rival teams across multiple tiers. These use
the native team-battle system, with up to three opponents on the field.
Win to earn the listed Bits reward and develop your team. The arena is
computer-controlled competition; human PvP is not implemented in this alpha.
RECOVERY, SUPPLIES AND BITS
Recovery terminals fully restore your field team for free outside battle.
Supply shops sell six capsule types:
Small HP Capsule: 250 HP restored | 120 Bits
Medium HP Capsule: 500 HP restored | 300 Bits
Large HP Capsule: 1,000 HP restored | 720 Bits
Small SP Capsule: 50 SP restored | 140 Bits
Medium SP Capsule: 100 SP restored | 340 Bits
Large SP Capsule: 250 SP restored | 780 Bits
Capsules restore conscious partners and clamp to their maximum HP or SP.
Defeated partners need terminal recovery or an appropriate revival skill.
Items stack to 99. Rejected actions do not spend items or Bits.
Free recovery, evolution, farm management and other outside-battle changes
are blocked while a battle is active.
CYBER PRESENTATION AND FULL AUDIO COVERAGE
The client uses a cyber command desktop with dedicated apps for Partners,
DigiLab, Scan database, Case board, DigiFarm, Network, Arena, Supplies,
Storage and Nearby information.
The interface includes readable HP/SP bars, evolution requirements, search
filters, target selection, turn-order previews, confirmation screens,
keyboard controls, on-screen movement and fullscreen settings.
The included audio pack contains six original cyber music loops for login,
real-world exploration, cyberspace, battle, arena and DigiLab contexts, plus
48 effects covering interface actions, combat, recovery and progression.
Music changes with gameplay context. Separate music and sound-effect volume
and mute controls are saved on the player's computer. These are original
tracks created for this project; the commercial Cyber Sleuth soundtrack is
not bundled.
HOSTING AND WHAT IS INCLUDED
The downloadable release contains:
- Exported Windows x64 client: DigiAtlasNXT.exe and DigiAtlasNXT.pck.
- Full Godot client source and Python server source.
- Digimon artwork, cyberspace maps, audio and editable game catalogs.
- Windows setup, build and server launch scripts.
- MySQL/XAMPP setup and an optional Docker MySQL workflow.
- Explicit SQLite development mode.
- HTTPS hosting configuration and server certificate/player-kit tooling.
- Setup and player guides, test reports, screenshots and asset credits.
Accounts, partners, inventory, Bits, scan progress, farm residents, position
and active battle state are stored by the server. The default MySQL database
name is digiatlas_nxt. Setup uses your existing MySQL credentials and does
not change XAMPP's password.
This release starts a separate game world. Existing AtlasMon or DigimonNXT
PHP accounts and saves are not automatically migrated.
QUICK START
1. Extract the entire ZIP into a fresh writable folder, such as
C:\Games\DigiAtlasNXT. Do not launch it from inside the ZIP.
2. For XAMPP hosting, start MySQL, then run Setup.bat.
Choose option 8 to configure the server with the included Windows client,
or option 1 to build the client from source as part of setup.
3. Select Existing MySQL / XAMPP and enter your actual database credentials.
For local development without MySQL, select the explicit SQLite option.
4. Run Start-Server.bat and leave its window open.
5. Run Start-Game.bat. For a server on the same PC, connect to:
Enable the client's local HTTP option for this local connection.
6. Create a tamer account and enter the world.
Read DigiAtlasNXT_Windows_Setup_Guide.txt for full prerequisites, source builds,
repair and public hosting. Read PLAYER_GUIDE.txt for the first-session walkthrough.
A public server needs reachable hosting and HTTPS; setup does not provision
internet hosting or automatically configure your router.
CURRENT ALPHA STATUS
Included verification reports record 63 passing automated tests and native
Godot checks using the final exported resource pack. Actual mouse-click checks
covered attacks, skills with SP spending, cyberspace entry, de-digivolution
and three-versus-three arena battles, alongside movement and reconnecting.
The Windows export is included, but the Windows EXE and XAMPP were not directly
playtested in the build environment. API tests used development SQLite. Public
server capacity, map-provider availability and individual PC/audio setups need
testing in the environment where the game will run.
Features outside this release include:
- The commercial Cyber Sleuth story, voiced scenes and cutscenes.
- Exact console combat, equipment, support-passive and combo parity.
- Human PvP, player trading, guilds and auction houses.
- A full chat/social system or official online-service integration.
- GPS movement, road routing and building/tile collision.
- An Android APK or automatic migration of the source games' saves.
Geographic tiles require an internet connection when they are not cached.
Windows builds are unsigned. This alpha has not been load-tested as a large
public MMO service.
FEEDBACK AND CREDITS
Useful bug reports include your game version, what you were doing, the steps
to reproduce it, any error message and a screenshot. For setup problems, include
the relevant log with passwords, account tokens and private keys removed.
DigiAtlas NXT is an independent community fan project. Digimon characters,
artwork and supplied data retain their respective ownership and terms.
