[Release] Perfect Octet Editor 1.1

Hi, like a was saying - its time to release today. Program is still buggy, but less than earlier, also not everything is translated.


1.Enter your octet here armor/accessory/weapon.
2. Second position is table with addons like you can see. Addons button is 4 adding them.
3. Gfx option. Press "+" button, and then you'll understand what to do i think)
4. Refine window, i think this is not needed in replies/
5. Sockets. Double click on socket, and you will be able to choose a stone for it.
6. Window №6 is unuseful//

You also can move windows however you want. But position of them is not saving 4 now. Here is example:

Thank you very much for this. It's such a pain working through the octets manually. I look forward to seeing updates to it.

So far this works only on very basic items, and does not appear to work at all for the majority of the weapons for the Earthguard classes. I do look forward to updates to it because it is a well designed too.

Whoops, meant to say Tideborns. Daggers and soulspheres. When I put the data into the tool, half of what it return is gibberish or question marks, which makes the tool basically useless for them.

Here's a screenshot of it when I put in the data from a Miracle Soulsphere.

That one is more readable than some, but clicking on "Get Octet" before or after making any changes just results in a series of errors.

Basically I was trying to make a GM weapon based from the GM Magic sword stats.
The initial idea was to drop the GM magic sword stats into the editor, change it to work as a soulsphere rather than a magic sword, and then drop the hex into the item data for the miracle soulsphere. (Had planed on doing a similar function for Daggers.) Because neither of these classes can use their skills with the current GM weapons.
Putting the GM weapon data into the tool makes it go even more nutty.

There are GM weapons already for Assassins and Psychics though.



I would assume that they allow casting spells with them.

If you did want the same stats the magic sword has then you should be able to put the magic sword on your character and change the item ID to one of the ones above (or any really). Then you change the weapon type to the "Weapon Major Type" of soulspheres or daggers. This can found in elements.data but you change it in the hex here. From memory that should be all you need to change to make a soul sphere with the magic sword stats that allows you to cast spells. I did this with a GM pole axe a long time ago.

For daggers I believe they have a ranged type of 2 for some reason. Basically the 8 in front of the weapon type becomes 2 for daggers

Thank you for that.
I was aware of the GM Sphere and Daggers, but unfortunately, in order to mail them, or add via iweb, I needed the hex data. (Not doing any major changes to the data files until I get the damn CPW update to work like it should.)

fix bug that SylenThunder you are talking about, also translate unique addons 4 weapons, and position of windows are saving now if you want of course. Maybe update on sunday
