If I'm not mistaken, all you should do is put the trose.exe from your tala client folder to where your server exes are.

Are you using the osrose revision 30 server? I remember seeing that problem in one of the last old ragezone SVNs. Check to see if your using the latest databases two. If you tried to update your database from the old ragezone one, see if you can live with a database wipe and start over with the new database.
