Actually they hired an artist that was once imprisoned by the Chinese government. The artist, while imprisoned, began to specialize in Chinese symbols rather than the alphabet. After being released for some time they sought him out and told him to make a logo using a particular character (I can't remember which). So he did with a slight variation to make it look like a person in motion.
But yours is funnier =D
