First this was gonna be just posted on the server i use the mosts forum however i have decided to share it. please note these are copy and pasts of the original posts i aint got time to refine them today (work in 1 hour)
Running a Woool Server 101-Guide Written for the great people of Xtreme-Server.co.uk (DO NOT edit or repost with out my permission)
This should go with out saying make sure you have chinese language files installed etc instructions are else where in theforum if im feelingkind ill link em here but conssidering how tired i am after work i might just paste this up and go to sleep
1st ok follow any mir 3 guide to setting up ms sql 2000eval (its real easy to find and do(though i had the big print with pictures edition lol)
2nd open enterprise manager and create a new database called MirWorldDB
3rd extract DMXYV018.rar to a folder on c i use c:\woool
4th open up sql query analyzer (this is where peoplego wrong)
5th at the top it says master dropit down to MirWorldDB
6th click "load sql script" looks like a folder with an arrow or ctr+shift+p
7th Go to your DB folder thats inside your C:/wool folder you should see a list of names Double click the first one
8th click execute quary (looks like a green arrow or press f5
9th do the same for all the others in that list
Thats a basic why of setting up the database
Go back to sql server enterprise manager (whats that you closed it tsk tsk open it up again)
go to databases then our new one then tables
Right click tbl_account opentable showall rows
in account type test in password type test (u dont have to use test but hey its what im doing)
to make you a GM open up gmlist.txt in c:/woool/data change the name to test/1 (i think the 1 is the account id not a user level but on occasions i have been known to be wrong)
ok impotant file time agan
in the root of your server is config.ini open it where ever you see name= chinese writing change to name=woool (can be anything SHORT)
also a line reads server=(local) i had better luck with when changing it to server=127.0.0.1
A test run Start.CMD in rout folder if all is well only 2 lines are red between all windows one Sqlexecdirecta and the otherwith word cache in it
Leave it up for now
Goto where you installed Woool to

Ok this is where i fail when it comes to a guide i had to use a patch from another server(will never relese it like that but i dont know this stage someone fill this in please)
it is highly unethicly to use the hard work of some1 else as a client for an online server,offline as in just you well thats personal choice i intend to do so till such time as a guide to making a woool install file work offline is released
i can tell you u need to edit the config.ini parts to as follows
ServerIP=127.0.0.1
GroupNum=4
Group0=woool
GroupNick0=woool
Group4=woool
GroupNick4=woool
Ok now translation
this is a step im busy working on i have put in 28 hours so far in the last two days and am at work typing this i got another 1 hours to go in my shift so will do some more of it (hence why this guide is so rough)
expect to see englsh translation here soon though till i can modify the default woool client to work with offline server(without needing another servers patch) i cant translate the client files sorry just wouldnt be right) but 90% of text seems to be server side anyhow

ok the translation bit this was all typed up at work but didnt save damn it
1 you need advanced find and replace (its called advanced find and replace easy to find)
2 set the batch file options to save as unix and to look in / change file names
(im typing this up rough as i want to sleep but will refine it later or even retype it)
ok heres what i have spent 40hours on (i kid you not) they are whats called tabbed txt files basicly

they are NOT perfect 99% of all item has been done 99%of all monster names done some basic npc buttons done
There are faults but bear in mind the followinf;
Each item name monstername ect is limited to 14 charecters so Blood Ghost stick may well become BldGhstStick etc but the beuty of this method is it can be changed later (ill explain further down if i dont fall asleep)
There are server errors (a heck of a lot of em any help fixing them will earn you a virtual cookie voucher )
ok thats the bad news away the good news is using this method i installed the server copyed the fully chinese server files to a folder ran through my tabbed txt files and was playing in my server in about an hour all vendows selling 90%english items the monsters where named in english i had choice of items at start etc etc monsters dropped right items
ok the method
go to batch replace and tick wholeword search
then click load values (its tooltiped easy to find)
in file type select text (tabbed something) (im writing by memory as all this is on my laptop)
then go through the files in order till you reach 5magic.txt (clearly do folder 1item before 2monster)
before you do 5magic untick whole word search (i made a mistake and forgot to tick it again butt didnt realise for many many hours but as i say it works out ok if you do it like that)
leave fix.txt till the endof the folder so work through the numbers then the fix then next folder
one of your files in the server (i think config ini or game ini or server txt has the names for male and female change them to M and F respectfully)
ok your done it sounds harder then it is
now the downside continues
i want you guys to help i believe you will thats why its here and not less helpful forums if you notice a mistake DONT correct the txt file make a new one call it FixFORUMNAME.txt (this helps it be uniq and gives you credit) in that place the mistakecorrection to give example

i cant figure out how to use the gm commands ???? i tried everything i want to be able to spawn each monter so i can bettername them i know the command is callmon...i think but errrr how?
I cant figure out how to do the npc`s like this i think i may have to convert them seperatly which is a shame but i will do it
also i need advice on how to convert the client to use offline with out having to use another servers patch (it seems a closly guarded secret)

The translation files are attached i hope now i must sleep zzzzzzzzzzz Hope for some NPC files 2morro (notice i dont say Expect ) oh and a monster fix file if some1 can tell me how to use the gm commands

i have got round the npcs by being sneeky find and replace doesnt like , or ! or ? makes it interesting to use to say the least
since i found out how to use gm commands i have amended some of the monster names and started on the map names
i have also started to do some of the npcs, i will post a new rar file when im more awake
some advice on the fixes ;
the method im using is to change the mistakes in a further txt file this means two things if you have alreadyimported some of the files you mearly have to import the next one along no need to redo them all, and if you have changed anything your self my changes should not override them
an examble of a change implemented is all the AntiGhst***** (**** being archers bravWars etc) now the japenese had them as counter evil spirit brave warrior etc so i named them AntiGhstBrvWar(or something like that(bearin mind these are tempory names)) to keep to the 14 charecter limit now when i loaded them up they werent ghosts or anything of the such they were lizards so one of the new txt files has the line antighst Lizard it works a treat its not the most efficent way of doing them i know.
i havent rared it up yet (too tired to even unback my laptop) but will do when i get up
oh a warning DONT USE THE LAST TWO LINES OF MY TRANSLATION TXTS
