Server SQL Errors!

Hey guys, im getting this awesomely irritating error. here it is.

Another error i get is, that the SQL can't be connected. ): Whats wrong with my files? Here are my configs.

NOTE: YES ON PURPOSE I DIDN'T PUT THE SQL PASS ETC. DON'T WANT NO ONE HACKING ME!! BUT IT CONNECTS FINE.

When i do try to login, i can't see a channel, only a server.

1. Try look if your MySql server is on (Xampp, Wampp etc)
2. if 1 didnt work Re-Install your database (not the mysql server but the .sql files.)
3. if didnt work check the conf files again

You cant see a channel becouse your server is wrong

I tried all of that already. I don't know my conf's are correct. I have a routor, and i used XXAMP to turn on MySQL, i have MySQL 5.0 and im using a hamachi ip, is that why?

W8 ... Try all your ip's set to 127.0.0.1 lanip to 192.168.x.x; 10.0.0.x and your gateway to 255.255.255.0

Thats is your problem your lanip is wrong if your using a router.

I tried with my routor ip. its 173.32.83.101 but won't work. ill try the 128 thing. thanks guys <3

You really should use search you know. this is a well known error that has been discussed here loads of times.
Your problem is that the query uses the word range in it.
range is a key word in later versions of mysql. use 'range' (with smart quotes) instead.

Your SQL is connecting just fine. It says so in the server console that you posted. On the 5th line down from the top it says "Connected to MySQL Server"
No problems there.

Of course you don't see a server. there isn't one to see.
FATAL ERROR means your worldserver has aborted. i.e. IT IS NOT RUNNING

Fix the query, recompile the server and it will all be happy again. Don't worry about your configs and stuff yet. Get the server running first.

Hey, i'm having this issue with the Fatal Error aswell, i've downloaded DevC++ to fix the error and re-compile.

EDIT: Well i found the line i was supposed to edit:

From what i heard, i need to change the word range in there to like 'range' . I've tried that, as well as other things, then compiled it again. I still get the error. Any ideas?


Also, when i try to compile it, i get a ton of sytax errors or something. It never succeeds.

well if your compiling never succeeds how do you know if you still get the errors?

please post a screen shot of your errors and let's see if we can figure out what your problem is.

From looking at the error, i'm guessing it has to do with my lib files. I downloaded and installed the libmysql one from the update server in DevC++, as well as pthreads.DevPak. Am i missing some?

Your modification is correct

Your errors do indeed appear to be related to some resource files.

_strcmpi is a function. It should not show up as an error
It is definitely not from lmysql or lpthreadGC

Do you have lws2_32 in your linker window under Project options/parameters.

The full entry in that window should be -lmysql -lpthreadGC -lws2_32

That's a pretty strange setup you have there. Are you running dev c++ or CodeBlocks?
I see you have mingw32 in there. You shouldn't need that if you are in dev c++

Your linker output should look like this

"WorldServer.exe" -L"C:/Dev-Cpp/lib" -lmysql -lpthreadGC -lws2_32 -g3

I'm using DevC++, my first time. Heres whats in my linker window:

-lmysql -lpthreadGC -lws2_32
../../../../../Dev-Cpp/lib/libws2_32.a
../../../../../Dev-Cpp/lib/libmysql.a

I added these myself, following some other guide. Should i delete them?

And what is mingw32? As i said, first time using this program and first time messing with anything like this =P. I'm a quick learner though, so bare with me.

your config looks right but you really shouldn't need those extra lines for the lib files. It is possible that they may be causing your problems

mingw32 is a compiler
It is typically used with CodeBlocks and not with dev
It may be that you have dev set up to use the wrong compiler. It should use the default one like this.

I have no idea where you are getting the mingw32 stuff from

Maybe you should just try to reinstall dev and start over

Well this problem was fixed, my only other problem is my client crashing after selecting my character. I think this is due to having the most recent client, and fully updated.
