it seems its combining the packets together. I need to re look this over. I am going to make this into a dynamic function and spawn all of the npcs in Flaris. After that is successful I am going to need to figure out a method for spawning npcs by range. Thats what Fame and Official Flyff do I think.

For now, you will have to wait until I fix it. But at least you get the idea of how this is going to work.

Sorry the source will be released only when I feel it is ready to be released. I am not as dumb as Caali and leak a half-finished server onto Rage and then see a billion whiners and complainers try and get something to work that is not going to work.

Rest assured, when I feel the source is good enough to be shown to the public.

In the meantime you will see the server come alive with my various releases. Eventually I will go into hyper code mode to finish up the server.

I promised Frost he would have first crack at the server. After that and a very successful run, you will bear witness to the only public server that was NOT stolen, or leaked or a clone of the original.

Credits first go to Kiki for releasing a source from which I derived my hand coded original server. No credit goes to Caali because he acts like a 2 year old that doesn't know how to share. Yeah dude, thats a great quality in a 16 year old that would drive women wild. You rock!

Apart from making me laugh so hard at your last sentence I would like to say that I will try to help you out in any way that I can. I am happy that for once we have a good stable server being developed by a non greedy developer. Your project looks good so far and I bet you will able to finish it in no time.

In case anyone wants to know, I am going to release a taste of my server I am working on. Based off of Kiki's Server Code, I was able to make a stable server.

This is how the Full Server is going. You will NOT see this now.

Notes:

Keep the mysql dll file in the same folder as exe files.
When adding the db make sure you put the name of db to flyff2.
No pass checking.
NPCs are not all done. Spawn them with "!spawn 211 1" (just a placeholder for experiments).
skills not working.
chat system works
a small bit of GM codes like !notice, /s, !spawn(npc placeholder) work.

This is but a taste of things to come. You can experiment with different looks. A lot of things need to be done still, but you will get the idea. Using packets logged by Caali Server I was able to get this far. Enjoy.

If you are able to fun Caali's Server, you should have no problem running this as well. Its coded in the same language. You might need .NET framework. Better get the most recent version to be safe.

Make sure you configure mysql with the following parameters:

database = flyff2
username= root
pass = pass

It will be like this only for this release. afterwords it will be in a configurable ini file upon next release.

Nice work, I personally wanna give you a congrats for being the first non-total idiot on RageZone who has made an release of their own content(Well other then Caali's server crasher he released).

Instead of content such as databases that they claim it makes it "Their server now" because caali's files are using "Their databases", <-- That probably made no sense but I'm fucking high and it's 12:41am.

Any way congrats, just be sure to limit your input to buffers correctly so you don't wind up getting people crashing the crap or worse.

Well, it's not realy 100% yours, because your work is based on kiki's server code, but you're still doing a great part of the job !
There isn't a lot of people able to do what you're doing, and you're working pretty fast =).
I just hope that you won't stop your project, because for me, it's one of the most promising project.

@ maisqueporra you have to reconfigure you mysql with the details glaphan gives in his first post it closes because it cannot connect to the mysql databse
