if the game is so "dead" as it is claimed to be, then why are there still things being released and developed.
I guess your definition of dead and mine differ greatly in the sense that as long as things are in demand it won't die. If you are referring to the official game, yes it is dead. If none of you have a desire to help revive the game, why still come around here? Hey I tried to revive it once and look where that got me. The real reason its "dead" is because none of you ever lift a finger to help or contribute. I have tons of stuff just sitting around but why should I just give them out if people like you are just going to be negative all the time. This is the main thing wrong with this section is people do not care and they do not care to change their ways. For that reason alone, you have doomed it forever. For that reason I have been heading elsewhere to see what others are doing.
I have great sympathy for new and veteran people who still try and contribute to the section. They are awesome to me. The rest of you have royally screwed this section into a graveyard. You ran off any and all coders and you are left with pompous asses who act like they have to condescend just to contribute something.
Honestly, if you have such faith in the game why come here anymore? Why berate people for wanting to share their work no matter how asinine it may be. A little encouragement goes a long way.
I leave you with these words by CrashOveride to which I agree wholeheartedly: "This is not a democracy, it's a dictatorship. There is no such thing as "freedom of speech" on a forum, you agree to the ToC when signing up." It may not make much sense to the lot of you but what it means is that is makes no difference what the "people" say or want. Here are the releases, developments, and questions. You can answer, contribute, and release things if you want. Trying to challenge that is saying MentaL is an idiot for making such a rule.
