Re: Release Sudden Attack Server

With this DB. I did not create any new SP's, I just remarked out the calls to the missing Procedures. I did not get to all of them yet, the server still crashes when exiting a room. Make sure you change your server IP in the Server Status Table, it is currently set to 192.168.0.5.

I then installed the Chinese Client from 1st post and then SA Patch over it, from the first post also. Modified the client shortcut with my server IP (command.txt) and boom, let me in. Once your in, you must create a room and then set it to 1 on 1 and use a second Client shortcut (UserID 2) to also join the same room. The room creator then starts the game.

Re: Release Sudden Attack Server

It appears many of the Chinese text messages are in the sa_MSGS.gsm file. This file needs translated.

Although, this would do nothing for the Graphic Interface itself.

I created for dumping the contents of the sa_MSGS.gsm file. There is no interface to it. Just place it in the same folder as sa_MSGS.gsm and run it. It will dump the the messages to sa_MSGS.txt file which you can open in notepad. File looks best if you open with notepad++ (Free Download). Just to give you an idea of what messages are in the file. Sorry, currently the tool does not repack the file.

The tool will crash if it is not in the same folder as sa_MSGS.gsm!

aqualung:

Do you have the sp named "SP_GM_RESULT_LOG_C" ???

this is the text included in event.txt:

Dev [LOW_DB] Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server

Dev [LOW_DB] Detail: 80040e14, Procedure or function SP_GM_RESULT_LOG_C has too many arguments specified.

This sp doesn't included in the Data base or your Script, do you have??

Thanks a lot...

Re: Release Sudden Attack Server

I will attempt to make a tool for the english client sa_msgs.dat file. In it is the English messages, but the file is in a completely different format so I must make a separate tool. :)

No, i have not been messing with the DB. The others I only remarked them out so they would not error. Go to the Stored Procedure that is exec'ing SP_GM_RESULT_LOG_C and rem it out. I think these only log the info and server will run without them. When I have time, if no one else gets to it first, I will start creating the missing SP's.

I have not tried anything like that yet. Been working on dumping the text messages so we can get it in English.

is a sloppy dump of the English Client message file (sa_msgs.dat). Each message is numbered but they all run together. I started adding RETURNS before each new number but maybe someone else will have the time to do this. We can use these English messages in the Chinese file and then get messages in English. I still have to work on the re-packer.
