Has anyone gotten the talent trees to work? I saw some comments with suggestions and I tried a few but nothing worked. Can someone confirm a solution and confirm a client version to use with it?

Are you using the patches found in the original dump, or using the official client with patches up to patch-7?

Any info would be appreciated. I got most things to work, and edited the shop addon myself to get it to work but many many talents arent working, and paladins crusader skills aren't working.

I tried everything with the 1172 version, even with patch 7, or 8, then patches x,y,z. Maybe I should compile the 1171 version instead?

The database seems out of date, not referencing the new spells, but the 1171 database looks even older.

Did anyone find a client+database+server combination that matches?

Thank you for asking that question, I'm a bit struggling too. My best try was 1.17.2 with patches up to patch-7 but talents were really weird and I gave up, now I want to try once again but kinda forgot what to do. Should I just use the compiled version from this thread, and put the DBC / patch files from the client?

Probably if I can get it up and running again, I could've changed all the talent-related spells manually?

Basically my goal is a nicely working server (doesn't really matter 1.17.1 or 1.17.2) with some kind of bots (like they use in SPP classic) to play locally with my friend

Only open up "Start mysql.bat" then start Navicat. At the top left click "Connection" "MySQL" and make sure the port is "3306" Username is "root" and password is "mangos" and click ok. It should add a Localhost:3306 or whatever you put in the Connection Name which is optional. Click it and look for "tw_logon" then "world_config". Double click it and look for "auto_honor_restart" and set it to 0. That should fix the 15 minute restart for the server.

It's funny to take a look at all the banned/restricted names in this database. Someone had to manually type 1000 naughty words so people couldn't use them as player names. Ctrl + a and delete
Short of giving yourself GM and killing dungeon mobs instantly, was/is any progress being made on npc or player bots for this?

I dont now if someone have this problem but when you try to click talent points nothing happends. Im looking the fix.

i have a question. How did you extract the dbc-files from the client? With the mpq editor? Or how? I ave never done something like that before, but i am willing to learn and understand to do so. Would be nice if you could answer. I would try to get a server who work as possible as it can in fact blizz is going after twow...

Hi TestNaik, can you select all talents? For me the new ones (highest in the trees) could not be selected because the client (1.17.2) and the DB-Entries are different.

I'm trying to update to turtle-wow version 1.181. I've incorporated more designs from higher versions, including some Legion settings, but I'm still maintaining the vanilla essence in principle! I'm also trying to fix various challenge modes!
