Geez. im confused if this forum is still active. i think its still active for developing but not in helping others setup there server. i just want to add the dead links. my problem is the same with this one
http://forum.ragezone.com/f286/kpt-1855-client-385058/ . and also even this guy solve his problem. a part of me also say that the links are dead. if anyone could just have me a backup with this list. i know its pretty old for you because you kinda know the things with this file but for me as a beginner well im not. and i want to use this old files for educational purpose to learn something and thats my goal. i know how to setup sql odbc but the files i needed is not found kinda kill the search bar a while.

1.This file i think its KPT 1871. a client file

2. Xtrap Remover
The above is a link to a game.exe by Nickette. It has xtrap removed, as well as many translations. Add that exe to your KPT client.

3,.The above is the Fusion Repack by Superman. It's in two parts. Download both, then extract.

[dead link]

4. Monster File i guess (http://files.filefront.com/Monsterrar/;9659715;/fileinfo.html")

Following tuts with sik,hotkicker125,swezid comparing this three.

Hoping for response.

As bobsobol recently said here: http://forum.ragezone.com/f399/mpt-server-client-admin-files-875876/index6.html#post7339776

Personal pristontale is the best thing for new people to start on, it has active links with lots of documentation, even video tutorials!.
What more could you want!?

There are also complete setup releases such as Vormavs Debian Server, which uses virtual computer software (Virtual Box) to run the server.
It is basically a copy of a computer inside your computer with everything setup and ready to go, it takes longer to download than to get PT up and running!

Server setup for newbies is not dead, it's just the old posts and the old ways are as there are now easier ways to get the stuff done thanks to dedicated RageZone members :)

When you browse through these, see hows it's done and have a fully working server to play on, it is far easier to see how everything functions, and you can then work backwards, and perhaps one day set it all up manually by yourself!

so theres no way i can built a server like what excellent Sik tut teaching about right now ? T_T . anyways i will take time learning Personal Pristontale now because atm . theres no better tut than that as of now .

But still hoping someone will make new Tuts like that for new aspiring (sort of) developers in the future even though pristontale is OLD ! . lmao

Ofc there is a way. I just found this little thing in my old backups:
Guide how to setup a server the SQL side. This is the one I always used.
Full guide download here:

thnx sunnyz. i think it is only the server file can i use a client file for this ? and if so what client file should i use ?

For the most part, keep an eye on the language and that points to the port which suggests the packet encoding to match client and server. Also look-up my guides titled "Why doesn't my client connect to my server" (though I think I still need to re-create and replace the dead images. :(:)

If you're looking for dead links, just ask. I have most stuff but I don't like to open an account to host someone elses' stuff. These days that usually means that re-host only lasts a week, if you're lucky. :(:
