i followed the tutorial above but i'm unable to connect to the server when it's up and running (2:49) using the GM tool, WinSCP, etc. All i get is "failed to connect to SQL server". Can anyone help me? Is it a problem with the settings in VMware (already tried Host only, NAT and bridged connections)?

Uh for some reason CentOS is unable to recognize my ethernet usb adapter. Must be because of old kernel version.
