[VB] VB 6 or VB.NET?

I say go with VB.NET if your going to be making normal programs. And VB 6 if your going to include another language inside the code. but i recomend to learn both first, they have a lot of differences.
I'm most likely going to include C# in anything I make in VB later on.
Which would be best to start with?

I'd suggest sticking with Visual C# .NET, it's basically VB.NET but in c syntax... VB6, the worst problem with that, is how difficult it is to thread, if you plan on making anything worth using on today's systems, I'd definitely suggest going for it's newer .NET relative.

I'd assume he's reffering to Visual C++ .NET 2008, which, if you want to use C++, I'd suggest you avoid .NET like the plague, because all that does is teach you not to make programs that are portable to different OSes...
