Hey everyone, I'm not even sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm gonna go ahead and do it anyway.

Basically, I'm trying to install the Aesthetica style on my vBulletin forum, both the style and forum version is 4.2.0.

I follow the tutorial given with the style itself and the vBulletin given instructions, but still I get this annoying corruption when testing out the theme:

KerningCity - vBulletin - RaGEZONE Forums

Someone on my old team actually was a wizard w/ vBulletin and fixed this in a heartbeat, I on the other hand am developing my community single handed and am trying to teach myself a few tricks!

This is how it's supposed to look:

I would really appreciate it, so much, if anyone could just assist me in my project and help me get this working!

Thanks to those who reviewed my request, and even a BIGGER thanks to those who hopefully will aid me!

I've had some mildly similar issues wherein the basic structure of the main template files that contained the headers, footers, etc, were using problematic/old vbulletin variables. Copy+pasting the header and footer from a working template to the problematic one usually fixed the majority of the issues.

Other than that tidbit, we'd need to see the problematic template live. We would also need to see a working version of the template, i.e. the demo site.
Though I'd recommend you just ask for support from the place that created the theme. If you are using a clean VB that is supported by the theme, then there may be an issue with the theme.

I can't ask on vBulletin and anywhere else because I already asked on a few forums other than vBulletin itself, you're actually the first one to reply!

The reason being why I can't go on vBulletin is because I need to be a registered user to ask for help on their forums (which I'm not). So is there any way you could take a look at the dirs?

As i can see from what you want you need to install fluid xml, not fixed one.
This has nothing to do with it.

Kerning, I told you already via PM that aside from a few spots with missing CSS, your theme is looking for nonexistent images in the root directory when it should be looking in whatever directory the theme images are in. This is probably a configuration you can change. Find the directory with the theme images and update the configuration.

Just imported the fluid.xml file, and still has the same exact problem...really need to fix this!
I found the directory with the theme images located inside, but there is actually no configuration file pertaining to where Aesthetica looks for the images. I think I'm also placing all of the images in the wrong place, even though I followed everything that the tutorial said.

Check your AdminCP, inside the Theme section of the AdminCP

Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> Theme -> Drop Down Window -> All Style Options -> Image Paths -> Tell me if there are any set paths there.

Also, If i am not mistaken, image paths are also done via the .xml of the Style. (I can be wrong, i've never taken a deep look inside one for me to study it)

If there are no set paths, try linking it to the directory your images are in, if that doesn't solve the problem add me on skype (Sent you a PM) and I'll see if I can fix this for you. I don't log on MSN anymore so lul.

Just checked now, thought that changing the directories would fix this issue but it didn't. In "All Style Options", I can scroll down and find "Image Paths" and see that no values are filled in for the text boxes. But I also noted the reminder "The following style options are obsolete and are available here for reference purposes only. Style options such as these can now be edited in the Style Variable Editor."

So I went on over to the 'Style Variable Editor' and searched for 'image paths'. I found a similar page to the one in 'All Style Options', except this one had text boxes with values filled in. I reviewed to where the set values were pointing to, and they are actually correct, so I fail to understand why these images aren't loading even though the image paths are pointing to where they should be, and that images do exist where the theme is trying to fetch them from.

timebomb: there is no configuration file in my theme's image directory.

Well, I found out what's happenning.

Image Paths aren't done correctly in stylevars. herpderp

first of all , let me tell u something , all variables are F*** up ....
here you can download my fix ....

If you got this theme for free, then you got it illegally or the site you got it from is distributing it illegally. This happens often with themes; someone purchases the theme, modifies the copyright/footer links and adds potentially malicious code, often for advertisements, into the theme, and distributes it for free on their site.
If you didn't pay for it, then you need to. That would also more than likely explain all the issues you're having.
Ignore this post if you did buy it.
