Wamp/Xampp website help

Alright so me and my friend have no idea what we are doing with this website business. We have the database and we can connect to the server. We are trying to make a website and we tried using wamp and xampp we have the template and we can open it by right clicking on it and going to open with Mozzila firefox but localhost or 127.0.0.1 wont open it we have created a .zapto.org website through no-ip.com but it it doesn't show up when we go to it ( yes we changed the adress in the index.php anyways if there are any guides that actually show how to connect mssql and wamp/xampp and the website we would truely apreciate it and would give you crap in the server if you would like to join :> msn:[email protected]

No, sorry, I don't really have the time, anyway here's a couple of things to check:
1. Check that your xampp is running

2. Check your firewall, it should allow inbound port 80.
3. Check your router, it should also allow port 80(see port forwarding).
4. Check that your isp(assuming that you're not hosting at a dedicated server) allows you to host a web server.

I have had this issue a while ago and I found out that Skype was causing the issue.

Fix:

Go to Skype > Options > Tools > Advanced > Connection.
Uncheck "Use port 80 and 443 as alternatives for incoming connections.
At "Use port <port number> for incoming connections", just type a random port number and make sure it's open.
