Hello there.

I'm actually working on a Roseonline website.

And I wonder if anyone has, and can share any way of reading STBs from web pages like rose compendium does as an example, or does it use STBs converted to XML?

Eh a good friend of mine made a web based stb reader through JAVA SCRIPT i am gonna ask him if he cares to release it here.

The rose compendium uses a mysql database. It doesn't read the STBs directly

You should read the file.
The more important data is found if you seek the offset given in the STB from the begin.

You can find the fileformat of STB's here:



To get the official name and description of an item you should look it up at the STL file. The fileformat can be found here:
