Just a simple question can D-link>DWA-160>Xtreme N Dual Band USB Adapter connect to other router eg.linksys ?

if the other router has a wireless receiver (probably not a standard feature) then yes

You can wire the two routers togethor, just put the Cat5 cable in one of the routers ports to send signal out, and plug the other end into the other router to recieve signal, like where you would normally plug the modem Cat5 cable in.

But wirelessly, no, Wireless routers don't recieve wireless connection, they only send it out.
