Working Private Server - Almost

Yeah, it's all good but Im stuck......please I need someone to help me recode the launcher. If you guys want to be able to get a private server of this game, I need someone who can code in C++ to help me alter the launcher. I am trying everyday but I cant seem to get past. Here is a new pic that shows the client is hooking to my server but the launcher kills it.


PLEASE everyone go find some MOD's or coders to help out.

where did you get your client from?

some say you need to hexedit the exe to edit the IP in it that connects to MGame's serverfiles and change it to yours
in server.dat i find:

[LOGIN_SERVER]
COUNT = 3

IP_0=118.107.172.120
PORT_0=15030

IP_1=118.107.172.120
PORT_1=15029

IP_2=118.107.172.120
PORT_2=15028

and if i tract all ip i connect to when i play the game i end up with ip:
when launchine the launcher:
206.82.201.68 and 119.205.199.120
and when i choose a server (Demeter)
119.205.199.121

dunno if it helps (prolly not) cause i cant find the ip's in ares.exe or launcher.exe

Right, there isnt any IP's in the client or launcher. Luckily the IPs are in the server.dat file. The problem is the getVERSION command in the launcher. Even though the server files have a loginserver that addresses the version, I still get 'wrong version' error.

Flow- I have tried a ton of clients but I can see if you have a different one. Send me a link where I can DL it. Did your friend ever have any luck with the KO files...I know there are a lot of similarities??

And progress with this will be shared with those who contributed, of course. In fact, once I get it working, I have no intentions on being the hoster. I would rather be a dev and content creator.

The Repent client is the FuGLieSt thing I have ever seen......LOA has old enough graphics and Repent is WORSE!!!!! I can hook to SUNqq's server but still cant hook to localhost.....this is just too hard for me to work on alone.

Currently I am looking into KOL files to see if they can be modified to the English Client

SOrry nothing promising.....I can upload eveything I have so far so others can help work on this too but I'm not going to go through the hastle if no one with any coding experience is interested.....

Post if you want the files: IE client (cause the Repent files are here).

I now have a PS of KOL working. So, I will look into making the files work for LOA english version.

OR

I can totally edit KOL to have LOA items

....which one would you prefer?? cause Repent is an outdated and very UGLY client.
