For your realmlist.wtf and WoW473519.wtf do not put in your server ip-address or ANY ip-address. You put this in exactly:

set realmlist 127.0.0.1

It's only other people trying to connect to you that put in your ip. But if you're connecting to your server, than use the one above.

Well, I'm now at my own house and able to look into the Emu files, and the only way that I've seen to change the Ranged Distance is through the Database. This, of course, involves the thorough knowledge of coding it, which unfortunately I do not have. So I'm very sorry to say, but I cannot make a FAQ about this because I do not know how to code this correctly. >.<

I've gotten the idea to post the FAQ number and then make a link to a Wordpad or Notepad file that I will save it into. Therefore, I can post tons of FAQ'S on the first couple posts. Here's an example:

Of course, that link above is false (just look at it lol). I'll be using MegaUpload to host the files since it's the best that I've found.

1-so jeeter, what u want me to do is to leave my wowemu.key set to my ip address then i put in realmlist the ip you gave me?:ohmy:

EDIT: i used the ip u gave me with MY ip in the wowemu.key and it worked. i could play it. but then the next day i made another person login to my server using a diferent computer and they could. but not me anymore.Now, people can login to my server but i cant :( how do i login?

we used to have the very same problem in muonline. i think its cozz ur router confg. try putting the same ip u gave to other people in ur realmlist and try to connect.
 
@polluxval ;-) He did that (put his IP in realmlist) and when he changed it to 127.0.0.1 it worked, but not when it was his own. But I don't know, maybe it should be his IP and he has something else messed up. =\

Yes, I mean DBC Tool ^_^ And if sven knows how to do that then...sweet! lol Sure hope he's still around if he's carrying that kind of knowledge =P

the FAQ'S list is partially down as you can see. THis is because i was going to make links to them to save space and just as i finished getting them all into the WordPad files and was about to upload them and post them back onto the FAQ...the forums went down (atleast on my computer). Then, even worse, the power went out! Now...I'm back at my friends house.

Polluxval is OK.. I think u must configure your router, u must open the ports that WoW uses, like 8080, 8085 and 3724.. and then other people can join into ur server. I opened those ports in my router and it worked.. becouse I had the same problem.

I'm using onewowrepack, and have everything set up correctly. (to my knowledge =P) Problem is, hen I run wow, I get an "unable to connect" error. Wowemu appears to be running fine, and when I try to login I get:
Incoming connection from [127.0.0.1:2982]

I'm at a loss as to where the problem lies.. HOST file, realmlist, and emukey are all configged correctly.
 
Troubleshooting your problem...

You're problem most likely lies in the Client itself. 5086 is the version 1.9.4 and by the looks of it, you are running it without the client patch. If you search the forums you'll find a link to the 1.9.4 client patch, download it into your WoW directory and then unpatch all the files into a new folder called 'client' or something. Once unpacked, copy all the files inside of that folder and paste it into your normal WoW directory (before doing this, make a copy of your original wow folder so you can get back to the normal game later, otherwise you won't be able to!). Paste all those files except the Data folder from the Client folder to the normal WoW file and overwrite everything (remember, don't overwrite the Data folder or else it will mess everything up.)

Once this is done, go back to your Client folder that has all the files in it and copy the DBFilesClient. Then paste it into your normal Data folder.
Next, copy the Interface folder from your Client folder that you made and paste it into your Data folder of your normal WoW folder. Then make sure all your realmlist stuff and HOST file is correct and your WoWemu.key is right, and it all should work ;-)

This probably sounds confusing right now, but it's getting late and I'm really tired ^_^

*Update to FAQ'S* Ok guys, right after school and my wrestling practice, I'm heading straight home and I'll put up the links for the FAQ'S. I'm very sorry that I haven't done this sooner, but my life is full of hectic things and I'm at my friends house almost all the time. And unfortunately he doesn't have the WoWemu's ^_^

But, please be patient, I guarentee either links to the files or I will change it back to the way it was before. Sorry for the inconvenience >.<

*Edit: Alright, the links are up for the FAQ's and you'll find that it's saved a LOT of space! Unfortunately I've only saved my FAQ'S up to 14 and I wasn't planning to make 15 into a link...and while in the process of moving the FAQ'S up to the top 2 posts, somehow 15 got deleted...if anyone remembers what it was about, please say ^_^*

jeeter.. plz can u put the links about original creatures, drop, items, quest, experience.. etc.. im not sure exactly, what files are those...
plz.. I dont know the correct values for each drop, mob, quest, etc.

@pabzea I've been getting this request ALOT and I'll start the uploading tonight for all of those and I should have them released by tomorrow night. Unfortunately I'm on Dial-up (i get screwed, not even 56kb it's 28kb...) so it takes a lot of time to upload about 20mb of files ^_^ Sorry for all these piling up inconveniences I keep making, but I'll be sure to start uploading this within these 24 hours!

(Edit: Pabzea, for drop rate, quest exp, and mob exp you'll need to do certain things.
1. Mob EXP: There's a FAQ about that, you have to edit a file. If you're on UWC than it's self explanatory when you get to that file.
2. I'll post a quest exp thing most likely...but what i usually do is just install 2 copies of my Emu and just have one normal, one for test. And if i need to go back, i just copy the file over. What you need to copy over is the quests.scp which is about 2-3mb. try getting it by installing the Emu and copying it over.)

New begining!!

Hey ppl I heard that some guys from blizz have split up,and they took with them a copy of the server.Do you have any ideea how can we enter in posesion f one copy?:crash:

This happens to me too sometimes. What i do is just restart the emu completely and usually it's fixed. But, also remember, you need to delete your WDB folder sometimes to get things to work, i do it each time i start my server up.

Hm...i haven't heard that. And if you're talking about offical employees of Blizz, I'm about 99% sure they'd not let them out of the door with all that info, let alone ANY info, without first sueing their asses =P
 
Ummmm i read through the questions and checked some of the pages that was posted but i didn't see anything that dealt with dark portal ummm it is not working for me and i would like to know if there is anything i can do to fix it plzzzzz

Sorry man, I've never really messed with the Dark Portal, but there is a post in the forums about Portals (should still be towards the top). But, the only thing I can think of would to make it like a clickable portal:

The Quest.scp would be uploaded but Megaupload ripped me off. It completed uploading and then didn't give me the link. So I'll try it on another place some time else.
