To me, it appears there is no error in Ubuntu. But, the LINK - [gameserver is down], or something like that [similar error in PW], most likely means it is configured badly.

/root/.profile only root login apply.

consol root open command

#]sudo passwd root
passwd : (now login password input)
new passwd : (root password setting)
repeat passwd : (same)

#]sudo reboot

login: root
password : new password

BATGM for perfect world works with zhuxian.

use that its ALOT better.
