Well I have , 90% of the server's are AFK players , they even leave them online while sleeping. And they earn levels by being afk. It's as simple as getting an autoclick , and each server has farming spots. Sometimes they wake up , and switch places , by killing the other AFK player and stand on his spot. Some servers have "anti afk" rules , but people found a workaround to that too , by using bots with auto responders.

So yeah , you didn't missed too much by not playing it.
