I dont know anything about patching clients so please help. so far, I only followed dhenmas210 guide on youtube regarding setting up the server. And I applied update from this thread's links (gameres).

Thank you.

But how do i check the login server port? Is it a config file somewhere? I remember replacing all ports 42003 to port 1433 in config files in server folder as instructed by dhenmas210

Also, how do i check if port 1433 is blocked? The only steps i did relating to firewall is allowing access to netlauncher during its first instance from running start.bat

the only ones I changed are DBPort = 1433 and resource path. Is there something else I need to edit here?

Also, this is the screenshot regarding my open ports.. sorry I also do not understand this. please help.

Actually, the port from .bat file need to match with the Login Server port, not the SQL port.

You can check each of your server ports on System/ServerStruct.xml. The usual port for that is 14300. If you’re on local, you can just use 127.0.0.1 ip.
You don’t need to open/port forward the ports if you’re on local I believe.

I changed the bat file for dragonNest.exe to ip: 127.0.0.1 and port: 14300.

I can now get past opening scene but cant connect to login server.

Does that mean port 14300 is blocked?

if you using xinserver, database connection default using 42003. for login port is 14300..
if your server can running with all green but can't login in client, check your auth already running or not.

is it this file?

if you re-check, you can see client port accept 14300. you can check login with force batch
start DragonNest.exe /logintoken: /ip:127.0.0.1 /port:14300 /Lver:2 /use_packing /gamechanneling:0
just makesure auth already running..

yes, auth is already running. I also made sure that db connection port is matching with sql db port (1433) in config file for each server.

I changed loginport back to 14300. But i still get disconnected from server.

i think i am missing some steps regarding client. I think simply creating bat file and use on freshly downloaded client is not enough.

Can someone share what are all the required steps needed to do after client is newly downloaded? (Im referring to link in this thread, the one with sdo and sea version)
