Hello
My friend is having problems with his old dell machine, alot of freezing, even though its cold outside (raining) i dont think its a heat problem but i could be wrong.
The psu and video card are new and not old. So basically he decided to get a new computer.
These are the following specs i have looked up, all prices are in Australian.

Keyboard/Mouse
LOGITECH Cordless Desktop EX 110 USB/ PS2 $57
Operating System
MICROSOFT WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREM 32BIT DVD DSP OEM $164
Speakers
LOGITECH R-20 SPEAKER 12WATTS RMS/ SAT:6WATTS RMS(3WX2)/ SUB:6WATTS $33
Total Cost:
$1,337.00
Firstly im a bit confused on why the E6600 is $53 more then the E6750.
Also since the motherboard only supports sli (i think) and his getting an ati card which may become crossfire later in life,
im wondering what sort of motherboard that supports crossfire.
Other then that he might get a GeForce 8600GTS.
Will the RAM be any good or should he go higher?
If anyone can give any recommendations for a different motherboard or any pc part, it would help me alot.
Thanks in Advance.
