Btw buddy, can i use sql 2005 instead of 2000? coz it seem sql 2000 doesn't work on my unit. can't install.

And oh another thing, does those vmware necessarily to install it as well? Just wondering though, i haven't tried it yet coz im still downloading, just an advance if its really needed to install. Thanks,

you can use sql 2005.
(btw, if it said something about operating system not supported (dunno exactly), just try sql2000 developer edition. the others of 2000 don't install on xp, that's why.)

Do I need to change the language in the file: i18n? or I can leave it as it is for english?
and 1 more question, in the patch to the client. do I need to set the ip to my linux ip or I can set it to 127.0.0.1?

for the language: I guess you don't have to, since darkxl's screens show he uses english,too.

your linux ip, as that is your server.


btw, I've done 3 complete vms with the server by now, everytime looking not to do anything wrong. the only errors i get are those that we can't repair yet (bugged), and I STILL can't connect to the goddamn channel =/

I think I'm at ~500-600 tries overall now, thats driving me insane oO
does anyone know how to fix that?
(you can at least connect after some tries, i can't at all)

maybe my LoginSvr_01.log helps: this is what happens, i connect, get the 'ID already connected', here 4 times (sometimes i don't get this at all, whatever), then once get through and fail at the channel selection. then i press esc and the log repeats.

and guybrush, the gp-forums say you will fix the issue with the channel-selection overall? if you do, could you tell how you've done it?

me too, i will help in development, i have friend here who is a member of linux society here in the philippines, i think we can help, but one question, what are the files that we are going to use? what kind of data that are we going to use? VMware what? ang what kind of linux? version of centos?, i have read snowman's guide, is both your files the same? if there is a diff. then what is it? coz i dont know what what are the exact files that are use in the video

I'm working on building my own server right now, it just takes a long long time to download CentOS.
By the way, I will post a release of a Direct Download for a CentOS version, not so fast, but better than a torrent. :]

SQL and the database should be on your "Windows XP", not in the centos.
The Centos should only have files cabal online

The utility serves to pass things the "Windows XP" at the "center" of a quicker way (It would be similar to an FTP)
