The golden rule here is NO SELLING SERVER FILES! But what about add-ons, plugins, and scripts? What about anti-cheats and other security measures? There have been a few requests from people to have a classified/market system in place for those who create unique and exclusive content for supported games. With that said, how do you feel about RaGEZONE facilitating such a system for those who have the means to sell such services? Server files will never be allowed, but ultimately, users would be selling services. I would prefer to have a safer system in place to ensure everyone's safety. The ability to use this service would be limited to a designated user group, specifically the merchant user group (paid), to prevent random users from attempting to scam.

Please vote on the poll and make your opinion known in a dedicated thread here.

Thanks.

Poll is only live for 24 hours. Judging feedback, it is NOT going to happen. What will likely happen is me having a custom system created where you can donate to content releasers for their efforts. The goal is always open source but sometimes, certain people deserve a little extra.

Scenario:

Files hide in the shadows, only to be sold for commercial gain. A user comes along at his own cost releases files publicly. This is a commendable action. In this scenario, users are gracious and appreciative but may also want to buy that poster a "beer".

Another scenario, a member has spent years creating his own emulator and releases it for free. He has given his blood, sweat and tears to this project. That person may have singlehandedly rejuvenated a whole community. This commendable action is appreciative, is it worthy of financial support in the form of a donation? He is accepting them, the rest is up to you.

Watch this space and be sure to use the feedback thread linked above.
