Thank you for that reply, the file and the insight into these files.
I've now hit day 3 of working on these different emu's, but my theory is compare how item shop is looking at the data stored in the database and see what can be done. If I had been working on this longer I could probably direct you to a more precise solution. On the other hand if you do not get a solution any time soon, I'll probably take a look at doing so myself, since it obviously becomes an issue after adding items for a while.

Haven't got round to it just yet , currently designing a template to release to "Aion's Thread" for people to have their own patcher/downloader for their server. Also trying to code/fix something to do with the launcher which i'm having problems with.

Everything working out great on your end 'God' ? XD

Your patcher / downloader concept sounds really good. I was going to take my old Jade Dynasty web solution and tie it into account creation, but to make a patcher - I have only looked at one post where there was some "test" code available.

My method of the Patcher/Downloader is very simple really, but someone is trying to help but he seems to be away at the moment so i'm kinda stuck on my own on it >.<
Whenever this is done i reckon this will be a great release as i will be releasing the source code for it as well of course!

Reason why i'm trying to complete this first because it saves the hassle of dragging files in the right areas when you can just simply download and automatically finds the 'DIR' and replaces every file without fault! XD

Yep, I go the opposite strategy but your way of handling it is probably the better solution.
I generally tear everything apart and get it working the way I like, then I worry about how to move it around.
I've been bit in the past where after all the coding to get it into place, I found that I had to add a lot and move other pieces that caused an even longer time to release.
But seeing as you have most of this in place already, again, your concept is by far better. :)

What is your Database fields on the ingameshop table (MySql) ?

And when you try and click on the sub categories in the shop does it come up with any errors in the GameServer ?, it should do so.

I have installed Java 6 Update 45 (64bit) and Java SE Development Kit 6 Update 45 (64bit) and i have just download all file from the first post....

Try and install the 32bit instead , not to sure if it makes a difference at all but. Your compiler should be all set to at least 6.x to build. Have you tried to use a different source ?

Man running this emulator has definitely been a learning experience for me.

I'm running it on a win64 bit myself. However what i did is run it with java portable. Basically I placed the folder within the server, and made a simple alteration to the startgs.bat to have the line be as follows:

"h:\Server\AIONEmulator\javaportable\JDK\bin\java.exe" %JAVA_OPTS% -ea -javaagent:./libs/al-commons-1.3.jar -cp ./libs/*;EG-Game.jar com.aionemu.gameserver.GameServer

Instead of the original:

JAVA %JAVA_OPTS% -ea -javaagent:./libs/al-commons-1.3.jar -cp ./libs/*;EG-Game.jar com.aionemu.gameserver.GameServer
Solved all the java issues I've been having. Here is a link for the javaportable I'm using, maybe it will solve your problem as well.



On another note, does anyone have that 3.5 items pack that DMC had uploaded? The link is expired for me :(

The sql file for ingameshop is messed up. It seems to be from another emu. I have modified the sql files and now its working well and without errors.

The logic for adding items in the shop is simple:
- object_id - does not matter - The best way is to keep organized per items type (armors, weapons ...)
- item_id - The item ID - This u can take it fron Aion armory database
- item_count - The number of items to sell
- item_type - It seems to correspond to subcategories
- category - Correspond to Elyos or Asmodians - Use 0 for Elyos and 1 for Asmodians
- sub_category - The subcategory defined in XLS file - U can take the number from XLS file
- list - It seems to be for listing or not an item in the shop - Not tested by me but u can try put 1 and see. If not don't touch it.
- sales_ranking - The rank of an item in sales - Maintain at default 1
- gift - Activate the option to send an item as a gift - Not tested by me - Default 1
- title_description - Short description of an item
- description - Long description of an item

One minor problem: I did not find any variable to make an item available to both races so if u want to add items for Elyos and Asmodians u must add the item twice and change the value of category in 0 for Elyos and 1 for Asmodians.

To make it more simple for adding items u can use an excel file and import it to MySQL - Pls google how to import.

I have attached my sql, excel and XML files but pls do not criticize me for not adding some items because I only test from time to time game servers.
