Great server has come a long way since I used it back on 2.5 =) .. one thing though thats bugged me is that SM's their pet needs to be able to regen HP when they are in Guard mode like in retail. Seems to only regen HP when in heal mode.

Please let me know if there are plans to update this in a future release :).

I would like to ask for some assistance. I've got the Server up and running with no problems whatsoever, yet, I've stumbled across something that I simply can't find.

The issue is about the Ascension Quests where you're forced to stay on LV9 until you Ascend into a Specific Class. My purpose is to have Instant Level 55 upon logging in, and so far I have only managed to change the Level Requirement for the Ascension quests to "55".

I can't find where it restricts you from going above LV9, I've literally looked everywhere. Anyone got a clue?

The problem here is that when you do the ascension quest, you have to choose your next class. When you create a character, you only choose from the first 4 base classes, so how will the game know which sub-class to auto-level to?

You can try the following :

Goto your server folder, then "gameserver\config"

Edit the file called default.config with notepad++

Look for the following lines :
# Enable 2nd class change simple mode
# Default: false
gameserver.enable.simple.2ndclass = false

Change false to true.

In-game, this should bring up a dialogue box with the option to choose the second class.

See if that helps. If not, post back here and I will keep looking for a solution.

I tried what you said, Kreeate, and this is the outcome:

1. Create new character -> //set level 55
2. New Level -> 9
3. Level 9 -> Window pop-up choose class (Ranger/Assassin)
4. Chose Class
5. //set level 55
6. Character LV55 + Class.

Based on this experiment, do you logically think that changing the Ascension quest to LV55 instead of LV9 would allow you to pass to LV55 without LV9 restriction?

Also, still very confused as to how to make instant LV55 when you create a new character.

I assume you will edit quest_data.xml?

You could try to edit the EXP requirements in :
\gameserver\data\static_data\player_experience_table.xml

Not sure how that will work out, but worth a try I guess. ( Don't forget to make back-ups :wink: )

Yes I was pointing at the quest data.

Now that's actually not a bad idea, changing all of the EXP Requirements to 0 all the way upto 55 should essentially put you instant Lv55. I'm gonna try this and let you know the outcome. Thanks man! :D

Sadly, it didn't quite work out. Right now it's:

1. New Character = LV9 + Ascension Menu popsup
2. Choose Class
3. Kill a mob = Lv55

So my assumption would be that I need to add a Quest-EXP Reward to the quest with a value of "1" and they'd get Lv55.

I've attempted to re-do the SetPlayerClass method (Used in the Ascension Quest-Interface)

Code:
    private boolean setPlayerClass(QuestCookie env, QuestState qs, PlayerClass playerClass) {
        Player player = env.getPlayer();
        player.getCommonData().setPlayerClass(playerClass);
        player.getCommonData().upgradePlayer();
        qs.setStatus(QuestStatus.REWARD);
        updateQuestStatus(env);
        SkillLearnService.addMissingSkills(player);
        sendQuestDialog(env, 5);[color="red"]
        player.getCommonData().setExp(1);[/color]
        return true;
    }

Yet it still refuses to work. This method is used to Set the player's new character based on the Ascenion quest as follows:

Code:
                    case 10006:
                        if (var == 6)
                            return setPlayerClass(env, qs, PlayerClass.GLADIATOR);

So it should be working, but it's not.

The Gladiator part in my previous post is a case (like a packet) that is chosen from that Ascension quest menu. That's just part of the code, didn't want to include all the classes and make a longass post, but that's basically how it works. You click the option of Gladiator, the packet is sent, and your class will be set as Gladiator based on that packet (10006). That's why I modified its Method to giving lv55, but it just... wont. :(

Right now, if I create a new character, he will be Level 55 in the character selection screen, but, when I login he returns back down to LV9.. So confused.

I found this on the Aiongemu site. Credits to milix

"Level 55
------------
GameServer/src/gameserver/model/gameobjects/player/PlayerCommonData.java

Change the start options for new players in this file.

Spawn Location
----------------------
GameServer/data/static_data/player_initial_data.xml

You change to co-ordinates for asmo and Elyos here.

All the best,
Milix
"

Hope this helps you somewhat.

I'm kind of confused tho, because I don't have a folder ./model/gameobjects/player, and I'm using the gameserver provided in this topic.

You need to look for it in the Source folder "SVN AIONEmu Source"

Not sure if you will need to redo a "Build&Copy Server", but backup all your info just in case. Obviously you shouldn't do an SVN update, because that will just overwrite your changed file.

Let me know how it goes, if you don't mind.

EDIT : here is the full path -
Novos_Easy_AionGalaxyEmu_Repack_0.0.2\SVN AIONEmu Source\AionGalaxyEmu\GameServer\src\gameserver\model\gameobjects\player

2nd EDIT : You can find the latest Emulator here -
