One Click Setup Script for Vindictus Private Server

Hello my fellow RageZoners!​

I put together a PowerShell script that automates the entire Vindictus private server setup process — from installing dependencies to configuring databases and starting services. No more following guides and hoping you didn't miss a checkbox or field somewhere.

This is a lite version (only server!), client is not included, that means PvP is not working out of the box.
Good news, you can add client with srcds.exe and make the pvp arena work, tho, keep in mind, PvP doesnt work in VMs.

For pvp to work, you need a client and edit ServiceCore.dll.config in server. Key "DSExecPath" value: "ABSOLUTE_PATH_TO_YOUR_srcds.exe"

Vindictus 서버 설정 과정 전체를 자동화하는 PowerShell 파일을 만들었습니다. 기운성 설치부터 데이터베이스 구성, 서비스 시작까지 모든 과정을 자동으로 처리합니다. 이제 더 이상 가이드를 따라가면서 체크박스나 입력을 하지 않아도 걱정할 필요가 없습니다.

이 버전은 서버만 포함됩니다! 서버는 서버에만 포함되어 있으며 PvP는 기본적으로 작동하지 않습니다.
좋은 소식입니다! srcds.exe를 사용하면 클라이언트를 추가로 PvP 작업을 수행할 수 있습니다. 가상 머신에서는 PvP가 작동하지 않는 것을 의미합니다.

PvP를 사용하려면 클라이언트가 필요하며 서버의 ServiceCore.dll.config 파일을 수정해야 합니다. "DSExecPath" 키 값을 "srcds.exe의 절대 대신"으로 설정하십시오.

Hi guys! Hope you have a great New Year's Eve 2025. I made this guide for all of you to enjoy. Here you will find a tutorial for both (client-server), and the files I used, also OG files, patches and extra stuff that might be hard to find today (in the torrent file). There might be some repeated content or obsolete. This guide will get some updates for links, mirrors, step fixes or additions if some useful collaboration is given.
Guide is made for files I used. If you use OG files you will have to tinker for yourself.

I am getting stuck on actually running the client, setting up the server files seemed to work fine. Ran all the services. Ran the .bat file to start the client and when I reach the login, I type any info and get the following message: Response from server delayed. please try connecting later. we apologize for the inconvenience.

Do you see your server in the server list?
Check you can see your endpoint URL from client PC (

Probably wrong IP in client feature matrix or host file.
Or server IP is wrong.

Hi was looking some help insight I think the problem when I run the hero op tool to run services. The same 4 services keep getting stuck on booting all other loads. is it because I'm trying to do wlan so my friend can play with me? Thanks so much for any insight.

What does the logs show? Click any of them (like MMOChannelService) and go to "Output LOG of program". If you cant make it work over WAN you might try ZeroTier or similar VLAN software.

ah ok, i'll just maybe keep it local for now. does anyone know if passwords are irrelevant? i logged with with a username and typed my password incorrectly from the first password i entered and it still let me log in. am i missing a table on database sql for password only cus i dont see one XD

id and passwords are relevant.
Accounts are created in the login itself. Account passwords should be encrypted (this is a guess)

oh strange maybe i am did something wrong with setup? I am able to log in with any password after first login for same username.
