The "duplicate row exists" error in my tools means your xp_md5 support isn't working (sql errors are a bit rubbish and don't always mean much). Run this query in sql:

select account.dbo.fn_md5('test')

You will get a "NULL" back instead of an encrypted string and this is your problem. Open the "master" database and find xp_md in the "extended procuedures" folder and delete it. Now run the query below again making sure the path to the dll is correct (i used c:\xp_md5.dll).

EXEC SP_ADDEXTENDEDPROC 'xp_md5','c:\xp_md5.dll'

Prikolist182 is correct xp_md5 is not working.

Follow points 1 and 2 here:

Once done run this query on the account db:

select dbo.fn_md5('test')

If you get letters and number then it is working. Ifyou get a "null" it is not.

"dbo.cabal_tool_registerAccount" is a stored procedure and it will be in the stored procedures folder not the tables folder.

hi all,
for the probleme with xp_md5.dll, i found what the problem is.
Is Just the security of this file.
Right click on the file 'xp_md5.dll' and choose property.
add new user and select 'all people' and put all rights.
retry to execute the sql query.

We need to see logs as there are many possible reasons but it's always a mis-configuration somewhere. Look in my sig for the "can't connect to your server" to see what to post so we can work it out.

the problem was that the patch was too old to use,i replacing it with yours patch and it works for me ty.

That is covered in the FAQ. There is also a script which i wrote do do it. Run cabal_rates and check how it works (also use cabalhelp to see what other commands there are).
