Chumpy's Server RepackV2 Video Guide

When you install mssql there is a panel that asks if you want to use windows security or "mixed mode". If you followed the guide right you selected mixed mode and it asked you to set a master password. The "sa" is your master user and the password you set on install is it's password.

Go into Security->Logins to find the sa user and reset it's password under Properties if you can't remember what you set during install.

When I tried to login to WinSCP with my correct ip of CentOS. It says: Connection Refused. But my ip is good. I dont know what my problem is of this :S

Best Regards Mrholiday

Prikolist182 is correct xp_md5 is not working.

Follow points 1 and 2 here:

Once done run this query on the account db:

select dbo.fn_md5('test')

If you get letters and number then it is working. Ifyou get a "null" it is not.

"dbo.cabal_tool_registerAccount" is a stored procedure and it will be in the stored procedures folder not the tables folder.

Well I do get "NULL" back :/ applied step 1 and 2 of that link but no dice. xp_md5 can be found under extended stored procedures ...

I just moved my database from my older XP base 2000 SQL to a W7 x64 with 2005. Now all passwords are incorrect but that's the last problem keeping me from logging in :'(

EDIT: This post fixes it http://forum.ragezone.com/f459/fix-login-problem-use-x64-system-sql-608699/

Yes this is pretty much all you need but this is an older post and the files have been updated since. Follow the guides here and grab the latest server files (v2.81) from my sig along with the recommended client. The latest patch is on my mediafire page ( ).

After agreement with Chumpy. We decided to release this video guide.

This video guide will serve as a helping hand or a reference, cause it follows the same way as written in chumpy's guide.

The video is in avi format and uploaded to mediafire for easily downloading

A server guide with written and visual material is the best for beginners. If any of the beginner still can't get their server up. Then I really don't know what to say. :?:

The video is separated into 3 part:-

1. MSSQL2005 installation and database restoration

PS: Use HJsplit to join the 2 files and extact it to get the video file.

2. Vmware Server1.0.7 & CentOS4.7 installation and setup

PS: Suggest to use CentOS4.6 or CentOS4.7, if you are using chumpy's repack.
Using other version of Centos might give you some "unexpected error".

3. Chumpy's server repackV2 installation and setup

I will update the video guide if any new thing changes.

All credits still goes to Chumpy's. I just doing a helping hand and trying to help out.

Thanx.:):
How about a new threat video guide on chumpy cashshop 1.5? It will be very useful. ;p

thanks for ur guide video..
but where i can download the client cabal offline and another tool that i need??
i just got the video guide here..
thanks before..:)

i got a problem when i install MSQL server 2005..
that it say
COM Plus Catalog Requirement
* If SQL Server Setup fails, Setup will roll back the installation but may not remove all .manifest files. The workaround is to rename the files and then rerun Setup. For more information, see How to: Work Around COM+ Check Failure in SQL Server Setup.

The solution is to install - or re-install - the Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (a.k.a. MSDTC ). To do so, just open up a command prompt and run the following command: msdtc -install

could u help me?
