Hello,

this is my first time setup RF Online server and i got a few problems here. so here it is :

1. i'm using PlayRF Client from this thread, but everytime i run the client, it's always crash. i don't know why i always got this appcrash error. i'm using Win 7 32 Bit and i've try to run the client with compability mode and run as administrator, but still no luck.

kitez - Client Always Crash and Web Emulator Problem - RaGEZONE Forums

2. As you can see from the picture, my client "looks like" stuck at Downloading patch info. i guess there's something wrong with my web emulator config. i'm using server files 2.2.3.2 from this and emulator 2.2.3.2 from this

this is my httpd.conf
Code:
#
# This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
# configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
# See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/> for detailed information.
# In particular, see
# <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/directives.html>
# for a discussion of each configuration directive.
#
# Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
# what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
# consult the online docs. You have been warned.
#
# Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
# of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drivC:/" for Win32), the
# server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin
# with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log"
# with ServerRoot set to "C:/AppServ/Apache2.2" will be interpreted by the
# server as "C:/AppServ/Apache2.2/logs/foo.log".
#
# NOTC: Where filenames are specified, you must use forward slashes
# instead of backslashes (e.g., "c:/apache" instead of "c:\apache").
# If a drive letter is omitted, the drive on which Apache.exe is located
# will be used by default. It is recommended that you always supply
# an explicit drive letter in absolute paths, however, to avoid
# confusion.

# Apache parses all CGI scripts for the shebang line by default.
# This comment line, the first line of the script, consists of the symbols
# pound (#) and exclamation (!) followed by the path of the program that
# can execute this specific script. For a perl script, with perl.exe in
# the C:\Program Files\Perl directory, the shebang line should bC:

   #!c:/program files/perl/perl

# Note you _must_not_ indent the actual shebang line, and it must be the
# first line of the file. Of course, CGI processing must be enabled by
# the appropriate ScriptAlias or Options ExecCGI directives for the files
# or directory in question.
#
# However, Apache on Windows allows either the Unix behavior above, or can
# use the Registry to match files by extention. The command to execute
# a file of this type is retrieved from the registry by the same method as
# the Windows Explorer would use to handle double-clicking on a file.
# These script actions can be configured from the Windows Explorer View menu,
# 'Folder Options', and reviewing the 'File Types' tab. Clicking the Edit
# button allows you to modify the Actions, of which Apache 1.3 attempts to
# perform the 'Open' Action, and failing that it will try the shebang line.
# This behavior is subject to change in Apache release 2.0.
#
# Each mechanism has it's own specific security weaknesses, from the means
# to run a program you didn't intend the website owner to invoke, and the

Hello,

this is my first time setup RF Online server and i got a few problems here. so here it is :

1. i'm using PlayRF Client from this thread, but everytime i run the client, it's always crash. i don't know why i always got this appcrash error. i'm using Win 7 32 Bit and i've try to run the client with compability mode and run as administrator, but still no luck.

kitez - Client Always Crash and Web Emulator Problem - RaGEZONE Forums

   #!c:/program files/perl/perl

# to run a program you didn't intend the website owner to invoke, and the
# best method is a matter of great debate.

i once encounter that problem,
i fixed it by reinstalling my client using the installer (the first time i just coppied client that already installed from another computer to my computer) and got the same error with you,
then i reinstalling using the installer,
and it fixed,
if i'm not wrong, it's missing system folder,
maybe your client download is corrupt...

i know that. sorry, i didn't tell that my server using Win 2008 64 bit, i'm not setup server on localhost.

try this method

in your client...open folder system.and find filedata.z and delet it...
try to run your launcher again.

I hope this can help you

thx man, your method works. is it okay if i delete that file? what is that file used for anyway?

btw, i got another error. It says "wrong account input".
this is weird, i check tbl_rfaccount and my account is in there.i tried to turn off the firewall but still the same.

i'm using this query to add my account "INSERT INTO RF_USER.dbo.tbl_rfaccount (Id,Password, accounttype, email, birthdate) VALUES ((CONVERT (binary(16),'test')),(CONVERT (binary(24),'test')),'1','test@mailinator.com','01/01/1980')"

i set the server to use RU language.

btw, thank you so much guys for your help :). i really appreciate it.

filedata.z is save data.that's from original server you download.but when you delete it,,,so it make new file data from your own server

if you use query,,,why not you use other query using RFtestAccount
if iam nt wrong,,when you start make register.php it's convert and import from tbl rftestAccount to tbl rfaccount.

tryna restart your Zoneserver.
still can't connect to server.

its' in ini files, login_filter_dev.ini
make sure you add your GM account there, and the IP is correct...
yes, i've check in there. there's nothing wrong and that is my GM account.

i tried to re-install the client, start from scratch again.
i notice something that no matter i hex edit rf.exe, the client will always connect to playrf offiicial server.
i thought i just need to hex edit rf.exe, change 0.0.0.0 to my server ip, done.

it's not wrong with the launcher, oh, if you use playrf client, have you patched it with base dir? marnkx share it somewhere else,
how do you know it's conncect to playrf server?
can you paste your login_filter_dev.ini here?

or maybe follow this suggestion :
try to use other emulator

oh, source of my emulator?
it's my own creation...
i create it using guide from 2.2.3 BSB guide i get from andhysetiawan or someone else (i did forget),
though, i don't think that was something todo with emulator, emulator only emulate your launcher update, to make it open, if it already open the launcher, then the emulator role is done,

yes, i'm using playrf client. i haven't patch it with base dir (don't even know i need to do this).
thanks for your info.

i know it because after i check the launcher (rf.exe), the launcher has different layouts.

here is my login_filter_dev.ini
Code:
[IPAddress]
FilterNum = 0

Filter0 = my server ip
FilterRange0 = 255
[ID]
;ôèëụ̈đ GM ëîăèíîâ
FilterNum = 1
Filter0 = !my gm account

try to change this :
Filter0 = 127.0.1

btw, how did you make GM account? i'm afraid you do something wrong when you create it...

if not working, try using normal account first...
