It wasn't light's falt it was mikimi. Light was best of the best if mikimai listened to Light then he would of lived. Light told him not to make any unessary moves intill that day. Mikiami didn't listen and screwed up Light. Yes Light is best of the best.

Didn't Mikiami kill Lite by writing his name on the book?
Cause in the last episode he was writing something in the book and he said goodbye friend.

No what the hell are you watching in the end mikiami killed him self with a nife. Some believe that near wrote down mikiami's name. Even ryuke killed light, because he didn't want to wait around while light was in prison for him to die.

Yeah, L was so much cooler than Near or the other guy. If anyone was to catch him, it should have been L. The ending was very bad. As another person said (and I'm too lazy to go quote it), they made Light look pathetic in the end instead of someone with a multitude of courage and such, which he displayed throughout the entire series.

I really liked the ending of death note, it was just on a basic princple those who kill should die. But anyways i liked l more then n so yea

it's a thriller so the ending is typical.

Most deathnote fans would agree the ending seemed a bit lame, but had light survived they would have been hassled for a series 2, easier this way i guess? ^^;

Deathnote ended the manga way... They killed someone off.
But it does explore the issue of right and wrong and who deserves to die. Split for me really. =/

lol that woulda been a good idea, but if they let the ending open, everyone would complain as much as they are now because the ending wasnt good enough they would want to know what happens next, and i dont think, they would want to make another season for it thats why they killed off light. i wish, L survived though, he was cooler then light i thought ;D

I starting to download the part 3 of the movie since i didn't watch the anime episode of it.
I was so depressed when I download a wrong subtitle "French" what the. But since then
I was bit confuse about the story, it seems that ryuzaki must be also killed because his name was written by the death god i think.

Didn't Death Note end last year? and i never watched most of it after L died....i didn't like the people that took his place (the little kid and the chocolate eater).

I hope they make a D-note sequel when somebody else has found the death note and starts praising Kira and copies exactly what he does and it starts all over again =].
