Let the Jubilation begin! We will be performing an update on MapleStory on April 26th, 2011. During this period, all game servers will be unavailable. The game update will last approximately 5 hours. Name changes and world transfers will be processed during this maintenance.

New Events

6th Anniversary Maple Items – 04.27.11 – 06.14.11
Numerous items—including brand new Lv.77 Maple items—are available for purchase through NPCs Inkie and Inkwell, who are found in towns. Inkie and Inkwell only accept 6th Anniversary Silver Coins as currency. These coins can be obtained by talking to Cassandra and exchanging Lv.64 or below Maple weapons for them, or by exchanging Maple Leaves for them (500 Maple Leaves = 1 coin). Inkwell sells all Maple weapons, including the new Lv.77 Maple Pyrope weapons. Inkie sells scrolls, pendants, Maple Leaf face accessories, all levels of Maple Hats, all levels of Maple Capes, all levels of Maple Earrings, all types of Maple shields, 6th Anniversary Puzzle Piece B, and the Underneath the Maple Tree chair.

Maple weapons also drop from many monsters. Use this guide to help you hunt:

Dual Raid: Balloon Hunt – 04.27.11 – 06.14.11
Lv.13 and above, two parties of three
Form a party of three then talk to Gaga to participate. You can create a room and wait for another party to join, or join a room if one exists. You must use regular attacks on the balloon and on the monsters; skill attacks won’t work. Once you fill the Platform Charge Gauge that is shaped like a battery, your team's platforms will become activated, stopping the conveyor belt and allowing the spring below it to be used. The team that depletes its balloon gauge wins. Various items can be obtained from the monsters in order to help your team. Items that can be obtained while participating in a Balloon Hunt include recovery items, Maple Leaves, Maple weapons, Maple weapon scrolls, 6th Anniversary Puzzle Piece F for the 6th Anniversary Jigsaw Puzzle, and 7-Day Coupons for an Orange Mushroom mount skill.

6th Anniversary Level Up Event – 04.27.11 – 06.14.11
Characters Lv.2 and higher can receive a number of Maple Leaves according to their current level, and characters can receive Maple Leaves every time they level up. This quest can be accepted and completed by talking to the Maple Administrator or through a light bulb notification above your character.

Maple Tree – 04.27.11 – 06.14.11
Collect Sunshine drops from monsters and turn them in to Aramia at Maple Tree Hill. Cassandra can transport you there. When the tree is fully grown, it will explode and drop Maple Leaves and Golden Maple Leaves. A character can hold one Golden Maple Leaf at a time, and they can be turned in to Aramia to receive a random prize: Maple Leaves, a Maple weapon, a Maple pendant, or an Underneath the Maple Tree chair.

6th Anniversary Jigsaw Puzzle – 04.27.11 – 06.14.11
Lv.13 and above, can be repeated once per day
Accept the quest from Cassandra to receive a 6th Anniversary Jigsaw Puzzle and the Puzzle King Guide. The puzzle can be completed by collecting all of the pieces.
* Puzzle Piece A can be obtained by defeating a Maple Bday Cake monster.
* Puzzle Piece B is sold by Inkie.
* Puzzle Pieces C, D, and E can be obtained randomly by participating in the Celebrate MapleStory’s 6th Anniversary! quest.
* Puzzle Piece F can be obtained by winning at the Balloon Hunt.
* Puzzle Piece G can be obtained from Aramia by delivering fifty or more Sunshines in one day.
Completing the puzzle and turning in the quest earns you a 6 Year Anniversary Gift Box. These boxes can contain recovery items, scrolls for Maple weapons, boxes with a Maple weapon inside, 6th Anniversary Silver Coins, or 7-Day Coupons for an Orange Mushroom mount skill.

Celebrate MapleStory’s 6th Anniversary! – 04.27.11 – 06.14.11
Lv.13 and above, repeatable
Hunt monsters and collect the cards that Cassandra requests. Give the cards to her to receive a 6th Anniversary Puzzle Piece C, D, or E for the 6th Anniversary Jigsaw Puzzle.

MapleStory’s Family Loyalty Forever – 04.27.11 – 06.14.11
Talk to the Maple Administrator each day in order to register yourself on the attendance board. After getting your attendance board stamped seven times, you can obtain a Family Comes First medal (STR/DEX/INT/LUK +2). After getting your attendance board stamped fourteen times, you can obtain a Family Loyalty Forever medal (STR/DEX/INT/LUK +4, Avoidability/Hands +20).

6th B-Day Party set
This set is purchasable in whole or in parts from the Cash Shop. Special effects are generated around your character when wearing two, three, or four pieces of the set together, with progressively more effects generated for more pieces of the set that you wear. From 4.27.11 to 5.24.11, wearing all four pieces of the set also allows you to obtain a special skill from the Maple Administrator. The special skill can only be used when all four items are equipped, and it can only be used ten times per day.

Gachapon Box - 04.27.11 - 05.10.11
Gachapon Box win lists have been updated just for 6th anniversary! Collect Silver Boxes and Gold Boxes dropped by monsters and open them with keys from the Cash Shop in order to get a prize! One Premium Silver Master Key can open one Silver Box, and one Premium Gold Master Key can open one Gold Box. To find the keys in the Cash Shop, go to the Event section of the Event tab, or go to the Game section of the Etc. tab. Gold Boxes now contain Timeless Items, shoulder items, enhancement and potential Scrolls, advanced scrolls. Silver Boxes now contain Reverse Items, shoulder items, enhancement and potential scrolls.

Bug Fixes/Changes/Known Issues

* Lunar Dew drops for all Explorer jobs doing the Empress’s Might quest (the drop rate remains extremely low by design).
* Modifications have been made to the Balloon Hunt and Maple Hill to combat vacuum hacking.
* Certain headbands that caused hairstyles to flatten in v.96 no longer cause hairstyles to flatten.

So what do you think about these new items? Personally, I think the new weapons look pretty badass, givin that MapleStory is usually "cute-ish" with graphics. It's also nice to see they finally told people where to find each one. They've only done that once or twice I believe in the past. Anyone know what changes were made to the lvl 64 weapons?



On a side note: This will be a new system that was discussed earlier. There will be one thread per month made. Whoever makes the thread must have it detailed. It would be nice if pictures were included as well, like I have done with this one. The thread will be stickied for the month and replaced with the new one the following month. Yea, pretty sure Chaos patch will be in 2 patches. The next patch after tomorrow will probably to tie up loose ends, remove the anni data and add a bit of chaos into it.

Wow, I am about to start playing a new MMO and then this great event hits. Sadly, I will be spending hours getting a complete maple equip set (cape, all maple swords, shield, earring and a maple hat) as well as the tree. How easy is this? Just level up and you get rewarded during Jubilation!
Characters that are level two or and higher will receive a gift of Maple Leaves every time they level up.

Maple Tree
What better way to celebrate the Anniversary of our world than helping to grow its namesake? Everyone will need to help Aramia grow the Maple Tree at Maple Tree Hill!

Just collect Sunshine from mobs around Maple World and turn them into Aramia to see the tree grow! If everyone gives just a little bit of Sunshine, we can help this little sapling grow to dominate the forest!

Of course, those that give should get. Once the Maple tree is fully grown, the map will be showered with Maple Leaves and Golden Leaves that can be turned in for prizes!

Mechanics were never OP, they just need less funding to do decent damage. With funding, my Wind Archer and DrK can hit more then a mechanic with the same funding.

Lol Mechs are OP in the fact that they can dish out high damage, with little to no funding. My mech is completely unfunded (well only 50m), and can dish out around 25k-35k dmg with atomic hammer at level 81.

I actually don't really like this PQ it's pretty much pointless , waste of time and boring but thast my opinion. You only get what ? 10 maple leaves from it? and Drop rates for maple weapon is so low that you'v to waste 4hour + to get one

Any class that has that much funding can do that, Mechs arn't at the top of the DPS charts. Every time some asain guy from KMS posts a vid with full 24% stat equips hitting over 7m damage per 5 seconds, a new bandwagon is made. [URL="
