And as for the permissions, i usually consider any downloads online free for hot linking unless otherwise specified.
(Usually i find the sites that don't want to hotlink force people to use session IDs)


Also i checked and found out the mirror is down.
I'm guessing you wanted me to add you for that reason to talk about it.

8.0 update worthy of comment:

Our direct downloads (Which apparently have not worked since we implemented
the Downloads.html part) has been fixed.

I would like to give thanks to Xuan
of NirohMS for notifying me through my contact form.

If i wasn't notified, this problem could have been let to persist
for much longer time.

I have uploaded a lot of Direct Download files onto RapidShare.
(Ones without previous mirrors found anywhere online)

This should help people if the "Bandwidth Exceeded" error keeps coming up,
due to: to many people downloading at the same time.

If i didn't, the site would be super slow right now.
(To the point where it doesn't even load)

These are the limitations and reasons.
  • Max download speed of 300kb/s (This will allow many more people to download files by splitting up bandwidth among lots more users)
  • Max files to download at a time = 1.
    Limit used to be 3, but it seems IDM+Flashget, etc try to access the file multiple times to get a faster download from the server.
    (Same reason as above, as more bandwidth is available to more people)
  • Another reason is that i provide mirrors to the downloads via other download sites in case the bandwidth is used up.

The last thing most important to know is that people are constantly downloading files.
Currently, i've been able to find the max point to when the site stays up, which is 70+20 download connections. (70 Direct Downloads+20 Torrents, to which i've put the limit)

If you would like to help me mirror out the entire downloads archive, via an existing webserver you have. I'll setup rsync to automaticly upload files to it.

If you have anymore questions/suggestions, i'll be happy to answer them.
