However, Subagames is accusing RealmPT of stealing their players. I don't personally think that RealmPT stole any players; all players have a choice to take and decided wherever they want to play.

It is pretty obviously that the players will search for the best (everything else than SubaGames ATM). Since SubaGames took over ePT, it has gone downhill, no need to mention more. Therefore SubaGames have lost all their players to better servers (including RealmPT).

It is funny how SubaGames always blame YDonline when something isn't working or whatever - all the other official servers don't suffer from the same problems as SubaGames.

I don't think this is right way to end this - MagicPT down, RealmPT down who will be next? In the end this will damage the English PristonTale environment; players are now mad over that SubaGames have done this against the private servers and therefore won't the vast majority of the players return to SubaGames. Besides that are 50 % of SubaGames current players very dissatisfied over how the management handles the server. In the end this might be a backlash for SubaGames; I don't think their player-base will increase (based on the above mentioned), and SubaGames is already suffering from hackers and cheaters who try to damage their server - who knows, maybe somebody wants to get rid of their frustrations and anger (this could damage SubaGames even more).

In short: I don't agree on SubaGames actions against the private servers.

Whether or not you planned to earn with it is just 1 more offense on the list. You still distributed material you shouldn't have, and you're just as guilty in the eyes of anyone else.

Do you think regular society cares where the criminals think they rank amongst themselves? "Yah, I'm in jail, but at least I'm only in for theft instead of armed robbery".

Protip: Everyone still sees you as just as much of a criminal as the next guy. If you want to get on your high horse and gloat how much better you are than others, than this should be one of the last places for you to be hanging around.

That said, suba is just venting frustration. They get paid to do a job they don't do, then complain and pout like a little kid when someone does it better than them. Modifying the server was a small part of what kept people on RPT, a lot of it was the way they responded to their clients. Suba may not have rights to modify things [then again none of us know the exact details on that], but at the very least they could provide good customer service, but they don't. It's the same as most retail servers [which is why so many go to private], they completely ignore their customers and then are surprised when they'll drop them at the first sign of something better. Instead of blaming others for what they refuse to do, they could just own up to their responsibilities and do it. Seeing as how they don't, I don't really feel sorry for their "lost users".

There are many many more examples, including legendary ones such as the supposed trial and execution of Jesus of Nazareth and the "Wolfs-head" (outlaw) Robin Hood.

You think people don't care why one person is branded a criminal and another allowed to walk free without even a criminal record? I respectfully disagree.

As for Suba, as Gregoo points out, their license is too restrictive to allow them to do the job they are paid to do effectively.

I've described their client as "crap", but I don't particularly blame them for that... they have to do something, and most options are legally closed to them.

Of course, the main problem is the copyright law in the first place. It allowed people to get rich on an initial sale, but stifles development for all from that point on.

There are some open source, or partly open MMOs, and I note that the more open they are, the more development and community they build.

Just a thought... and it's not like it's something Suba could implement. But is something they have been arguing with Yedang for a long time.

at this moment, sandurr should be that rich that he can buy an open source licence to keep the server alive and still working on their files as kpt do, or maybe he will do some "Works" for subagames but it says server is online

Remember that SubaGames only contacted the server hosting company and not Sandurr immediatly.

So I guess Sandurr just hired a new VPS or Dedicated machine and threw his server on there.

Will be pretty much the same story as MentaL and Nexon. The keep kicking you in the butt... coz they can. But at the end of the day... they want you dead, and just have to settle for "kicking you in the butt".

I'm sure those developers know atleast what sandur does, the problem is on the management.
I wouldn't be surprised if the managers never played the game and all they care about is money.
Hiring sandur as a manager would be a good idea indeed

I still think PristonTale is better to be managed by true players who have played and experienced the game than some company who just randomly bought a license.

True it is illegal but what isn't nowadays amiright?

RealmPT has perfect balance in the different classes, monsters and weapons.

Same goes for XPing; the first and most boring levels (around 1~40) are easily skipped by just playing for ten minutes. Around level 70 it'll be harder to level up but some fun and custom-made quests make this easier to get through and even in higher levels you are able to play several challenging quests.

And that is something I havent seen from SubaGames.
