Hi everyone,
Over the past month (after almost 15 years), I've been working on an emulator for GunBound Thor's Hammer. I’ve made some solid progress, and I’ve decided to share an early version of the source code with the community.
I believe it can be useful for those who want to learn more about the game’s packets and internal structures.
These days, I'm a bit older and have less time to dedicate to projects like this. I run two companies in Brazil and one in the U.S., so coding is more of a hobby for me now.
Those who know me from the past know that I’ve always tried to help the community and share my knowledge. That hasn't changed much — and neither has the community. One positive thing is that, thankfully, the days of people stealing work and sharing malicious files to gain access to our computers seem to be behind us.
Unfortunately, the game is almost dead. Gravity gave it a bit of "extra life", but it’s not the same anymore. I’ve been thinking about a complete rewrite of the game, and honestly, I believe that might be the way forward.
In the past few months, I’ve had the chance to reconnect with many old friends, and that really made me happy. GunBound is part of my life, and I want to keep in touch with you all.
Finally and just as important I may not be able to contribute like I used to because of my current responsibilities, but I truly hope someone out there can learn and grow from these files.
