This vmware image is a combination jf smgli 1.3.6 server, mysql auth from here http://forum.ragezone.com/f452/release-pwserver-1-3-6-mysql-version-linux-510897/ and 1.3.9 element and gshop from tekk.
To make it work either on workstation or player subnet VMnet1 must be 192.168.204.0, VMnet8 - 192.168.126.0.
In windows nethood VMnet8 adapter must be set to 192.168.126.3 than in wmware net configuration
set NAT for VMnet8: TCP 29000 on 192.168.126.3; UDP 29000 on 192.168.126.3 and TCP 3306 on 192.168.126.3.
May be you need change eth1 to eth0 in /etc/network/interfaces. Depends on which you get by command "ifconfig -a". Shared folder in windows C:\PW. To start server type mc, thah go to /home and type start_servers.sh
It works with 1.3.1 international client (with tekk 1.3.9 element works too) and 1.3.4. russian.

password: asdfgh1
But you can create own - http://192.168.126.1/register/register.php
Password for root in debian is root.

VMware use nat to share local ip. Try your local ip from where vmware installed.
