Use the command !job 910 to set your job to SuperGM and throw the skill Hide onto one of your keyconfigs. You'll need to use that upon login to make yourself visible. Or, you can just use the !show command. Also, I highly recommend using the command list in the OP over the ones online, as my commands may vary greatly (or not so greatly) from others.

As for your exceptions, looks like there's nothing unusual going on with the auto-register stuff. I'm still not sure why your user wasn't able to register. Maybe he was doing something wrong, I don't know.

And yes, you can fix damn near everything with MySQL because damn near everything is stored in the database. However, ideally you'll be able to fix things without even leaving the game. That's why there's so many different commands for developers. Hell, there's even an SQL command, that I make use of quite a bit.

You'll also be happy to know I added the following lines to the beginning of Orpheus.sql:
Code:
CREATE DATABASE `Orpheus`;
USING `Orpheus`;
This way, you won't have to worry about which database you're executing it on. (Those who don't want this can simply comment those lines out.)

Edit: Ok i missed the part in your post about speaking to cody. I get so swept up in making some progress I lost my head. I'm not gonna leave on the boat with frotto. Sorry for my moment of weakness there. Carry on. This **** is fun but staring at code for 24 hours straight when I'm not a programmer makes my eyes bleed heh.

Was thinking playing the game may be easier as a GM. Trading is turned off on GM accounts but its not like thats really needed anyway. Had some issues with the pet trainer quests that I could only get through with the GM commands. It seems the The Hidden Note wasn't in place (on top of the jump quest in the basket with the cats). Added the note with the !search "The Hidden Note" to reveal its code then !item "code".

Does the 3 pets out at once part work? It didn't seem like the second quest would finish, the quest where you purchase the treat and give it to Brody (think thats his name). Perhaps it bugged because of me using the GM commands however.

Is there a command for forcing quest completion? All I saw was one to reset quests.

Command list in the OP? Original Program? So !job 910 is your command? Do I have to set account as GM to use that command? !show is in the original program? Elaborate if you would on what !job 910 does, does it change your class in any way?

Do I need to compile after changing character data in the database?

You don't new to recompile to make changes in the database. OP means original post, as in, the first post of this thread. It contains a list (in spoilers) of all the commands grouped by user rank required for them. There are also respective help commands in game for each rank. 910 is the job ID of the super GM job, which has the skill to toggle Hide.

I have just discovered the "pre-completion enabled" on quest givers. After deep introspective reflection I have come to the conclusion that this means that quests with this message have indeed had there scripts enabled. Like in my earlier post where I tried to complete the pet trainer quest thinking I needed to (as in the original game) in order to get full pet functions. Knowing that this isn't a bug takes a lot of stress off, heh.

Knowing is half the battle!

But seriously is there a mooplestory thread or a thread with instructions for first time players? Lol. Learning is so painful.

But does using the !job 910 change your actual class, say from a magician or warrior to something else? And do we use @cody for EVERY job advance or just the ones that don't seem to work right?

Removed post: Experience issue was caused by EXP being set (using the runsv config) to negative numbers. Values should be between 1-127 (for anyone who might want to know) and crashing that occurred while zoning was caused by nexon pets being summoned while entering into or leaving cities through certain portals. I just dropped the pet to zone without crash.

Perhaps if I could turn quest experience off completely it would let me get past this (since the party quest notice has popped up on other maps to). It wouldn't solve the problem but it would be a cheap fix. I remember seeing something about quest exp in one of the files but forgot which one and if this is something that might work, what would the values for quest exp be?

The game doesn't seem to be designed to handle more than one level up at a time. I guess nexon never figured anyone would ever do that with the official games low-ass experience progression.

Lol,, ok I hit level 8 and choose magician. It worked for a second then this happened:

View attachment 105332

The trigger for the error seemed to be killing a mob because it didn't occur until I hit something after I became a mage. Notice the level 150, hehe. Is this a known issue or am I special? (I should be careful what I ask)

I logged out and back in but the first mob I kill levels me up and freezes the UI when that message pops up. The double level up is probably what freezes the UI. I have also seen party quest messages like that pop while I was in the forest near Ellinia but only one at a time, I just X'd out of them. Should I have been in the area where magicians change class when I used @cody? (Edit: Ok i see how it forwards the NPC dialogue to you now in the admin messages) I was in the woods just outside of the town in the picture at the time.

Edit: When configuring the runsv I set EXP at -50 because it was way to fast at 100 (What I had it at originally). I deleted all the characters on my account using mysql browser (because I couldn't get the maple administrator to work). Made a new character from scratch. It seems that quest EXP is insanely high, the PQ quest thing that pop'd up in the window gave me quest EXP I'm guessing which leveled me from 8 to 150, thats just my guess.

Edit: I named my character the same name when I started over, could there be residual data somewhere causing conflict? (this isn't the problem or so it seems)

1 hour later: The error repeated itself. I went to the same map, just east of henesys.

Also a couple of the start quests that give around 40 EXP level me in one quest update. I am assuming maybe quest EXP and normal EXP are gauged differently... So when I set EXP in the runsv congfig to -50 it slowed down grind EXP but left quest EXP on a different scale perhaps? It still doesn't account for the involuntary triggering of those quests in the screenshot.

2 hours later: Made a different account, went to the same map at level 7 before magician advance using @cody. No error occurred before job change. Leveled up and changed jobs to magician, killed one mob and error occurred again.

Also I crash every time I enter this map, no fail. I'm done for now until I find out whats going on here.

P.S. Hey, if I'm getting on your nerves its cool, just say so and I'll hang this up and go away heh. I thought feedback is what you wanted to I'm trying to elaborate. I DO think my system is set up right but these errors might be my fault. /shrug I hate to hog the whole thread though, I'm starting to annoy myself to be honest.
That pic is because of your client -no i didnt read the wall of txt but i saw the picture- so here use this client just change the ip

Quest Exp can be changed in the ServerConstants file. I haven't had this happen at all on my server with any of my tests, so I'm not sure as to what's going on. Are you using any of the party quests?

Nope no PQ's. II was using the client from the zenthosdev thread but ill change it out now. What client do I need to download, just the file in the link above? Or the whole client? I am using a v83 client from the zenthosdev thread atm. If there is a preffered client the link should be posted on this thread, hmm?

I'll look into it then. I'll see if I can replicate the issue.

In other news, I'm working on some big stuff right now, but it's probably going to be some time till it's done. I may, however, also be releasing a tool to patch the client, so that server owners can have a completely legal way of allowing users to gain access to their server. So, new sub-projects are definitely on their way.

Ok the zone crash issue and the party quest pop ups were client based, it is fixed. Reagardless of where I am when I hit level 8 and choose magician the next mob I kill levels me to 150. I will post screen shots of my directories. I just reinstalled everything except my wamp server from the ground up. Unless its something like my query browser being different thats causing an issue or my file directories being wrong then I dunno.

The four dist files here are backups. I did place the complied files in the dist folder.

The only other .sql files I added to the database along with Orpheus.sql was the one monster.sql that was listed as required on your wiki.

Aye I just figured that out. The first game EXP was set to 100. At level 8 I used the browser to set my mage job (code is 200 for magician). This time I used @cody, same bug occurred. However, there is a difference. The first time we didn't shoot up to level 150 it just increased EXP a lot, like two kills would level me. This game I set EXP to -50 and when I change jobs with @cody it shoots me to level 150. Why would lowering the EXP variable make me level faster? I don't know anything about coding or even if this is just a weird bug but the EXP table are set using hex code which is writen backwards right? And it only occurs at job change. I'm just thinking out loud atm. Perhaps something changes (or resets or perhaps the changes in the EXP table simple do not carry over) at the job change. Or maybe someone wrote the code backwards (or rather forward when it supposed to be writen backwards and didn't figure in that some 0's need to come out when it is writen backwards. That probably sounds like some newb **** right there but I'm just trying to grasp whats going on with my tiny amount of knowhow, lmao. I read somewhere that @cody might not work on mooplestory (dunno how valid that is). I am going to set the EXP to 100 again and see if I can duplicate the results.

Edit: The results are repeatable. The higher I set the EXP variable in the runsv config the less effect the error seems to have on leveling. EXP set to -50 = 1 hit levels to lvl 150. EXP set to 100 = 2 kills to level up. What is the maximum server EXP variable/value that can be set in the runsv config? I read somewhere the values are between -128 and 127? Just thinking if I set the server EXP to its highest value the error might not be noticeable.

This couldn't be a compiled server constants problem could it? If my serverconstants didn't compile the server wouldn't launch right?

Wow, I'm surprised I didn't notice this earlier. Lower your experience rate. It's way too high. Don't make it negative values. It has to be positive, but lower it. The reason why this happened? Experience rates don't go into effect until you job advance or reach level 11. So, that's the problem. Sorry, I didn't realize it earlier.

Yep I just figured that out lol, I set it to the lowest EXP with strangely is the highest value (127). But there IS a bug, it does not happen until you click on the starter quest that is offered to you when you use @cody. Try it and see. Level to 8 with magician, choose magician but DO NOT choose to accept the quest it offers, just click out of it. Then watch your EXP, then open the quest and accept it (the lightbulb will not go away, you cannot make it go away) once you have accepted the quest kill something and that triggers the error. Is there a way to disable quests when the lightbulb won't go away? There is an option in the dialogue to NOT accept the quest but the lightbulb never goes away.

I actually got around it by telling Grendal "I can train myself" then exiting the menu. The lightbulb stayed on though so I clicked it (after killing a few monsters and realizing the error didn't occur) then accepted the quest as normal. The EXP rate didn't change and there was no error at this point.

Edit: Ok I came back through 1 final time and I'm not getting the error now at all. Perhaps there was something in my server config that fixed itself after running the runsv bat again with positive numbers. There was an error though I assure you, lol. One kill put me at level 150 before. I know what your saying about EXP being to high, I was paying very close attention to it and when the magician class was chosen EXP got ramped up from 10 kills = 1 level to 1 kill = 140 levels. Its cool though, carry on.

You can use a wz edited Quest.wz to remove the lightbulb.

Thx, thats good to know. I'll go play the game now, heh. There is one more thing! When I zone from Henesys to the hill east of henesys map it bumps me to login. I read that this simply happens from time to time no matter what really. Is that true or is it perhaps something I set up wrong?
