vi /etc/sudoers
find this line "root ALL=(ALL) ALL" and after this line add this:
dragonrojo ALL=(ALL) ALL

note: You must be root to edit this file.

Do you tried a restart after installing the SQL Server? After that try it again to set up the linked Server, that worked for me.

lol dont go no life...

First off all get some sleep(if you dident allready)
second take a breath, go behind your desk and unnistall the sql 2008
then install a proper sql2008 whit SSMS(managment studio)
after that you can speak

no point doing stuff when your brain in tired
