v 2.1.0.3 up and running..perfectly :
So far everything i tried in game is working. Few minor bugs but nothing special.
Took me around 7h to make it work, mostly because tuts are not up to date with gameserver and loginserver files i downloaded from page 1.
I used tuts from page 58 ( http://forum.ragezone.com/f587/aion-private-server-646761/index58.html ).
I don't want to brag but having full stormwing set and few almighty poles upgraded to +15 is awesome.

why am I getting

"error while merging xml files" messages while loading game server

no matter which version I try?

figured it out.

to those using windows with 2byte code language. better change

non-unicode program language to english in 'Region and Language' panel

before starting anything.

simply changeing County code to 0 in 'gameserver\config\default.config'

made it work.

Problems still come... the source is slow, fiew updates in one week... i kinda think to leave this project. I don't know what to do guys.

It looks like you have not added the gameserver to your loginserver db. In account_data, you need to add a line that contains the following:

1, 127.0.0.1, (password)

The password is what you have for gameserver.network.login.password in the default.config file.

No problem, glad to help. I may put together a basic tutorial based on my notes, since I understand the difficulty of creating one when English is not one's native language.

Now my client won't connect i've changed the config.ini file in the bin32 folder to my IP and tried both ports 2106 and 7777 but nothing will connect...

Anyone know what i've missed?

You should not have modified that config.ini file, it is not needed. What error are you getting, and how are you starting the client?

There is no error, i replace the Bin32 folder in the Aion folder, launch the game using my desktop Aion Shortcut... but after my client has loaded there are no messages in either server box about an incoming connection and the account i created just says something similar to "incorrect id or password"

do u got a custom aion starter ? like a launcher with your ip ?

No TheRing i didn't... i do now and i get incoming connection in my server boxes but my account still won't connect...

I get the following error message:

"connection from: **.*.***.*** (IP does appear)
recived packet: [C] 0x07 CM_AUTH_GG
recived packet: [C] 0x0B CM_LOGIN
sending packet: 0x01 SM_LOGIN_FAIL and closing connection
after that."

Setting up an Aion server on Windows using dannybest’s (awesome) pack for localhost use

This guide assumes you have the following:
1. Java installed
2. Mysql installed
3. A db manipulation program (Navicat, SQLyog)
4. Basic sql knowledge

All of these are thoroughly documented elsewhere, so my guide just concentrates on setting up this pack to allow you to play locally.

Downloading and extracting files
1. Create a directory for the server (I will use C:\AionServer for this guide)
2. Download all of the files from the first post of this thread (currently r184)
3. Extract ae_gameserver and ae_login, creating \gameserver and \loginserver in C:\AionServer

Creating and modifying databases
1. Create aionx_ls and aionx_gs databases in mysql
2. Go to loginserver\sql and import aionx_ls.sql into the aionx_ls database
3. Go to gameserver\sql and import these into aionx_gs:

- aion_gs.sql
- droplist.sql
- any in the update folder

4. In the gameservers table of the aionx_ls database, add a line with the following values:

a. 1, 127.0.0.1, (gameserver_password – default is ‘aion’)

Edit your config files
1. Edit gameserver\config\default.config:

a. Enter the user and password to access your mysql database
b. gameserver.network.login.gsid = (same as you used in 4 above)
c. gameserver.network.login.password = (same as you used in 4 above)
d. gameserver.country.code = (1 for US, 2 for EU)
e. there are many others you can change to customize your server, but these are the ones needed to get it working​

2. edit loginserver\config\network\database.properties

a. enter the user and password to access your mysql database

3. edit loginserver\config\network\network.properties

a. change loginserver.accounts.autocreate to true
​

Download and configure the client
1. download the ncsoft launcher from their website, let it install and update the client to 2.1.0.9
2. create a zip / rar / 7z backup of the bin32 folder, then replace with the bin32_2.1.0.9 file you downloaded
3. create a StartAion.bat file in your Aion client directory:

a. start bin32\aion.bin –ip:127.0.0.1 –port:2106 – cc:1 –lang:enu –ng
b. (if you are using the EU client, then use –cc:2)

NOTE: Although I don't use one myself, some people have better luck using a no-ip launcher instead of a bat file. Search Google for "aion private server launcher no-ip".

Starting everything
1. Run C:\AionServer\loginserver\StartLogin.bat, wait for it to complete
2. Run C:\AionServer\gameserver\startGame.bat, wait for it to complete
3. Run StartAion.bat that you created above, or use a no-ip launcher to start the Aion client
4. Either use default admin/admin to log in, or enter a new user and password. As long as you have loginserver.accounts.autocreate = true, it will be saved to the database. Also, if you want this account to be a GM, modify access_level for the account_data table in aengine_ls to be 3.

I never saw the tutorials that were available before, this is just from my own trial and error, so if anyone sees anything I missed or have incorrect, please let me know and I will fix it.

All works great but I can't use legion warehouse (yes I change #legion functions to true).

Also Temporal Stones don't show in artifacts and all fields are empty like Legion name etc.

Dose feeding pets works?

feed pet and put items in pet and legion warehouse is bug so far
