Re: [Release] Pets - OdinMS

Sorry I fixed they other errors, the VIP tele rock screwed it up.

Getting new errors though

[...]For some reason addById isn't defined? even though it is o.o

Help pls :)
Notice this bit of the patch file
Code:
 	}

 	public static boolean addById(MapleClient c, int itemId, short quantity, String logInfo, String owner) {
+		return addById(c, itemId, quantity, logInfo, owner, -1);
+	}
+
+	public static boolean addById(MapleClient c, int itemId, short quantity, String logInfo, String owner, int petid) {
 		MapleItemInformationProvider ii = MapleItemInformationProvider.getInstance();
 		MapleInventoryType type = ii.getInventoryType(itemId);
 		if (!type.equals(MapleInventoryType.EQUIP)) {
I've added another argument to the function, so you need to create another, to keep backwards-compatibility.

..
Nobody..?
You said earlier about a jar, are you trying to patch the jar? You should be patching your source files - in the src folder.

Re: [Release] Pets - OdinMS

Re: [Release] Pets - OdinMS

What? its a bit confusing dont u think

not really, if you spend the time to read innovative's guide then it's quite easy. It only seems confusing cause it's a lot of texts and words.

http://forum.ragezone.com/showthread.php?t=410275&highlight=patch

go there.

Basically, anything that has a "-" sign next to it means to remove it. Anything that has a "+" sign to it means to add it. If it doesn't have any signs, meaning its blank. That is to show you where to add the lines WITH the symbols.

Example:

Code:
in mapleclient.java

 import net.sf.odinms.database.DatabaseConnection;
 import net.sf.odinms.database.DatabaseException;
 import net.sf.odinms.net.channel.ChannelServer;
+import net.sf.odinms.net.channel.handler.SpawnPetHandler;
 import net.sf.odinms.net.login.LoginServer;
 import net.sf.odinms.net.world.MaplePartyCharacter;
 import net.sf.odinms.net.world.PartyOperation;

add import net.sf.odinms.net.channel.handler.SpawnPetHandler;

under import net.sf.odinms.net.channel.ChannelServer;
and above  import net.sf.odinms.net.login.LoginServer;

Yea Leifde,

I saw that and that's exactly what my file says.

Code:
public class MapleInventoryManipulator {
    private static Logger log = LoggerFactory.getLogger(MapleInventoryManipulator.class);

    private MapleInventoryManipulator() {
    }
   public static boolean addById(MapleClient c, int itemId, short quantity, String logInfo, String owner) {
	return addById(c, itemId, quantity, logInfo, owner, -1);
	  	         }

	  	public static boolean addById(MapleClient c, int itemId, short quantity, String logInfo, String owner, int petid) {

MapleInventoryManipulator doesn't show any errors, But every other file that includes addById now errors.

Re: [Release] Pets - OdinMS

I tried.. that Innovatives guide.

When i right click -> select my files nothing shwows up.

try manual patching it. Im using vista x64 bit. If i click open, it'll ask me if i want to browse for a program to open the file or use the internet to find a program. I select browse and open the pet.patch file with notepad.
