Its important to tell player whats going on i think (otherwise the may leave), so you could need a protected news platform.
Host on a free website Google Site for example, i bet no one can ddos Google Site down

find out wich ip does that ? maybe its a static ip.... on our server was the same problem and we just banned that ip and all was gone

i had my server something like 2 years ago . i started with swo.
we had a lot of ddos attacks and much more but we ever fixed that so its not that problem to solve this problems.
our server was one of the server that got 400+ online everyday

A botnet with one IP? You only see the server quality in player online? You "fixed" DDoS?

DDoS is indeed not 1 IP, it's hundreds or thousands of IP's. A simple flood from 1 IP is nothing.

Like 1 month ago when my server was under DDoS attack ,
I opened the log for IP's from the crappy firewall i had , in like few mins the text file was 5GB sized I couldn't even open it:tongue:

since 2years there wasnt a hard ddos attack like now
everybody was running a server without any ddos, since 2 years ago
but at this time, there is a hard ddos attack, and there is no way to stop it
you have to pay more than 2.000$ to can stop this ddos,
